Dealing with dog poop

If the stupid idiot landlord isn't willing to do anything, go over his head. Take it to the tenancies tribunal or something. You have rights, what they're doing is illegal and your stupidass landlord is too lazy to do what he's required to do.

Better yet, install an electric wire fence. Saw a vid on youtube with trespassing animals, laughed my ass off.

Keep putting it on their doorstep.

There's animal repellent pellets that people use for deer, try that.

Check the local laws. Many city's have fines if you don't pick up your dogs shit.

Or I could get a cheap camera for my back yard to record them doing it. Or put up a sign "I don't shit in your yard so please you don't do it in mine". They might feel ashamed or something. I've heard about red hot pepper powder but it's snowing, I don't think it will work

Record it and than report it to the police so they have evidence to fine them.

Eventually with time if they keep doing it, you can call the pound and have their dog taken away.

I don't want that poor dog to be taken away, just want them to keep him away from my yard. But clearly they are assholes

YAAAASSSSS!!! i would have a fit if this was me. i can't stand people who dont take responsibility for their animals. you could try animal control but that's really punishing the animal for the mistake of the owners. if it gets bad enough tho, you can make a case for them. take pictures, lots of pictures with dates. record the behavior this way to establish consistency in the infraction. after establishing documentation of the frequency and consistency, I'd try talking to the neighbor about keeping their dog out of my lawn. if they want to say it's not their dog, well you have proof, dont you. i would tell them you will be forced to report them to the authorities if it does not change. this way if the tenant continues in his action, you can say you did your best to solve it amicably. if you have taken your concern to both the neighbor and the landlord to no avail at that point and have the pictures to back up your side, i would start having my lawn cleaned professionally (there are companies that pick up dog poo im sure) and giving the landlord the receipt with that part taken out of rent.

LOL not funny.

Well when I asked landlord if they've got the same contract as I he said no, I guess money is too good to give up.

I decided not to escalate situation right now. Me and landlord don't get along either, once he came over and accused me for smoking inside. Little to say about, I'm a good cook and use my skills every day, so sometimes alarm goes on, especially if I'm busy with house chores, anyways neighbors called him, next morning he was here in my house, he actually woke me up at 8 am I think, on the weekend, fucking rude, he checked basement, kitchen and tells me that he feels someone has smoked in the basement 😄 fuck that. Anyways I say no and point to neighbors who might have done so. I lost control pretty soon and asked him to leave my house. Since then he doesn't come over and I leave money in his mail box. I already informed him that I'm leaving.

Yeah that would piss me off! And the landlord should care.. it's his damn property.

What I would do.. threaten them with going to the police as they shouldn't own a dog (especially a large breed) when they don't even have a yard for it.. saying things like that scare dog owners, they don't like to look irresponsible or want to lose their pet. 😉

Even if you move.. i'd say something to them about how they are not able to provide for their pet. That grinds my gears as I have a large dog and would NEVER even consider moving into a place that he didn't have his own yard to roam in. They are clearly irresponsible pet owners.. in my opinion shouldn't even have a dog..

He doesn't care as long as he doesn't live here and others pay pretty good money I guess

So I have rented the place and pay quit much money for it. I have neighbors from the next house who have a big dog. They don't have a yard so they let their dog to shit in mine. When I moved I told them I don't wanna deal with that and they have to find some place else, well more than month since then and nothing has changed. Few days ago I went out to build a snowman, putting some Christmas lights, making my house brighter, anyways I couldn't do that. Dog poop was all over the yard, so I picked up some and put on their doorstep. I told my landlord and he says "I'm too hard and I have to get over it" really? what about I wanna have clean yard? Why no one gives a shit that that's my house? why I have to deal with that? I'm so mad, thinking if calling to police will work at all. What do I do to make my yard totally unattractive for dogs? don't get me wrong I love dogs, I just hate people who don't take care of them and think picking up their animals crap is my job. Fuck

What inconsiderate BLEEPS! They don't deserve a dog! I would call the police and report them.

My dad normally fills up drink bottles with water and scatter it all over the yard. It seem to work for him.

The key is too put the shit up under the handle and wipe away all other traces. Then when their in a rush in the morning you'll really inconvenience their day when they stick their hand in shit.

Don't put it in their mailbox, set it on fire on their door step etc. lol or it will come back to bite you in the ass. Continue to collect it and put it in their space though. Sucks your lanlord won't do anything, then again he doesn't have to deal with the inconvenience. Do you have any money to maybe purchase a cheap white picket fence or something?
