LIE and liars—

what aspects of their charts do you look for to find out if that person is capable of many many lies or not?

Generally speaking, Mercury in Pisces people are said to be pliable with their truth-telling. Hard aspects between the planets, Mercury and Neptune (square or opposition) can show a lack of memory, or a sneaky liar. but why lie? i never can understand it... a taurus sun like myself can't bring myself to it..not even close.. 😢

It's all comes down whenever they have a choice to lie someone.

Some can be very direct & assertive.

It depends. People lie for many reasons. Some lie to keep from hurting someone. Others lie to get ahead of everyone and manipulate.

Its easy to say more emotional signs would lie to keep from hurting people, while more arrogant and egotistical people would lie to get ahead of everyone.

Sometimes lies are due to mis-interpretations. For example in conversations I will use a long sentence using antithesis but am cut off by the person i'm talking to long before I am able to finish speaking and the person will think I have lied to them. Sometimes I get tired of clarifying or dealing with people and just stop talking and the person will think I've misled them.

Anyways, I dont know if there are specific aspects or configurations that make someone a liar. I've seen people lie for other purposes like power, material gain etc. but that is not something in their chart that is pointing at lying but pointing towards the bigger issue.

But if you're looking for something there are two asteroids called "Lie" and "Swindle" that you can look into and see if they aspect anything prominent (like sun, moon, asc). With asteroids you should only use a 1 degree orb may 2 or 3 max. Note: I'm not into asteroid astrology, though I think it's entertaining and fun.

I take some offense to a lie

but at the same time it helps me eliminate people I can't deal with.

my mother who share a cap sun does do lies...to manipulate for material gain..esp to her very own husband... my ex sag lied..( cap moon) also for material gain...and for power ( venusinscorpio)...me i never lied.. i don't know if its the placements thing or what....

If you have ever changed your mind, and voiced this change of mind ... then it is a lie from what you have previously said.

If you believe that that isn't a lie, and that it is justified .... then you've accomplished being a hypocrite when someone else has had a change of thought/want

If you have never had a change of mind/want, and are living your days with every original thought you've ever had, then you are mentally disabled, which would explain your intolerance to diversity, growth and the expansion of mind.
