Why did it end?

Been here, not going over it again...
Living in the past is very boring.
Anyway, so many ask about why something didn't work out (why it isn't working) or why they haven't found love.
Lessons can be learned from the past. So figured I'd open this convo to show others (maybe even with similar placements) why it didn't work and others can see what could really hurt their relationship if they happen to be in one like that and what they could do to help it... or understand sooner than later on why it won't work. Every relationship is different, but you never know...there could be similariaties. I'm just interested to see if there are. Even beyond placements.

20 years... it's complicated, hard to just give a reason. But I suppose after all the things we survived, when he expected me to live a dependent life on his parents, the independent Sag I am was completely miserable, feeling like I was dying, I finally chose me & a emotionally healthier life for my kids.

I am. We've been divorced 5 years. He's a Cap Moon he doesn't deal with emotions at all!! I supported him emotionally for 20 years and well financially some too. But mom & dad have a ton of money so he decided to live their life basically. I guess it was just easier.. I think the hardest part for him was dealing with himself, and he wasn't willing to do that. He also had a drinking problem & was sober for 14 years while we were together, and in the last 2 years has picked it up again. Makes me sad.. all he had to do was try... it was his choice and I gave him 3 years to change his mind. Can't make people do what's best for them. Hard lessons.
