dad is a sag and mom is a gem. both love each other, married 40 years, run a small business together, still travel together sometimes as a family. it wasn't always smooth though, some rough patches here and there but they're still solid and care deeply for one another.

Cancer Mom Aries Dad

They had a tragic teenage love affair. My Mom was from a strict catholic family and my dad was an orphan who lost both parents in a car accident when he was 6 months old. My mom got kicked out of the Catholic Church for being an unwed mother and my dad died while she was pregnant.

They never really did tell me the finer details of their split but eh. They were never married. My dad did go on to marry my step mum and they'e been inseparable. My step mum is amazing even if she's not affectionate with me, loyal to the core. My dad would be away for business trips all the time and for a while gone 2 to 3 year at a time but they are still together and now in the retirement age they've been going on a lot of mini adventures.

I'd say they share a very stereotypical water relationship.

I always joke how I'm like the experimental aqua child. Me and my brother are 10 years apart and I think in dealing with me they've learnt how to deal with him lol.

Teen parents...beat all odds...still together somehow. Could not be any more different people. Not sure how it has lasted this long.

It used to really infuriate me to watch my dad put out my mom’s spirit just by literally being himself.

She’d come in from work all bubbly wanting to hug and kiss everyone and hear about their days and he was just so fucking cold. It killed me. Seriously

My mom just poured herself into being a mother. Me and my sister were her whole world.

They nearly split when they became empty nesters, but somehow they’ve managed to pull through and have found things to do together that they both enjoy. They seem pretty happy overall. They have more active social lives than me and my sister 😂

Libra dad, Aries mum. Aries mum is very dramatic and frequently acts like the world is ending. When they were still living together (they are still together as a couple, but live in different places now) my peace-loving dad couldn't deal with all the drama and he'd just retreat to his study to mentally escape. Threw himself into working with charities and working about 3 different jobs to enrich his own life when he wasn't at home. Aries mum thought this was a sleight against her and the drama got even worse 😂 but now that they live apart, they're constantly on the phone to each other gossiping about everything and everyone, waiting for each other's call and making little last minute trips to go see each other. It's really quite sweet. They've been together for 28 years, although I'm not sure it would have lasted if my mum hadn't moved away.

Lots of love. Best friends. My father used to know how to trigger her and make her crazy, lol but he was perfect at calming her. Super proud of her. Not so good with the kids 😂
