Posted by MyStarsShineIf a woman is insecure for marrying a man like that, she very well should be for making this stupid decision. A leopard doesn’t lose its spots. However, I do feel that people can change, but only if they really want to and make an effort to.
So I heard about this guy that had slept with 40 woman and was due to get married. He had cheated on every one of them. He admitted to his fiancé about his serial infidelities (at least he was honest)
Anyway he starts to accuse his gf of "looking at other men in the street" lol and she becomes pissed of with it, as there is no truth in it. . So she puts 2 + 2 together and cops onto his game that he is guilty of doing the same thing ... and more
He had asked her to marry him saying he was cured of his past lol and would "never cheat on her"
So time rolls on, wedding getting closer and she starts to put the thumb screws on him, and guess what?......he confessed to cheating on her more than once
I wonder about some women at times......how secure would you be knowing the cheating past of your future husband ... Did she really think he had miraculously changed? I wonder about men that convince themselves that they have "changed".... and also that they will never get caught ?
At least she found out and needless to say, the wedding is off

People do change. I’ve seen a handful of marriages survive cheating. I’ve seen way more break up because of it. But those that stayed together actually became stronger and better, as individuals and a couple.
Not knocking people who leave. Because they probably wouldn’t grownif they had. Everyone has a different level of tolerance and priorities and situation is the same. I just think the beauty of what can come out of a couple choosing to continue commitment gets overlooked sometimes because of stigma.
You can tell the difference though in people when they have or haven’t changed. It’s obvious in the way they treat their partner on the daily.

My situation I was HEAVILY involved with drugs, riddled with grief, and targeted by a much more damaged person who exploited me, so I made very damaging decisions out of confusion. Now that I've cleared myself of those issues, I see it even more clearly than the day I told him which is hard to swallow but necessary for improvement. I have been in an unhappy relationship for 3years now and can't think of cheating on him. That or he just really doesn't like being alone. Either one is not good to a degree. It's a lot of speculation for me bc we are super distant in my adult years. What I do know is that he likes appearance to be kept up, which so does his current wife so perfect. And I believe he doesn't want to be alone. I can respect that to some degree but forcing it won't give the results they are looking for.
