You'd have to make a concious effort to get over him.A lot of people get together with someone after recently breaking up with another...but who says it's successful?
I have made a conscious effort to get over him(I think) I mean I don't contact him, we are not fb friends, I keep myself busy so I don't think about him but to no avail. He still invades my space. How do you just cut someone out of your thoughts? Have the time my brain won't shut up when I need silence.

You're starting a new relationship with a really nice guy, but you're still in love with someone else. :/You are just hurting yourself in the end. Unless you have Venus in Gemini (and this is your way of coping)then I would say you have to make sure you are over the first guy. It's not fair to all parties involved.
I don't believe having a Venus in Gemini would make any difference whatsoever. People rebound all of the time regardless of sun, moon, Venus, or where ever the planets decide to be. I don't believe astrology has any relevance to that.

I would have thought Gemini Venus would assist, but....to use myself as an example:
I am Aries Sun (obviously) = loyalty forever, but
I am also Aries Venus so if you do something heinous enough to become an ex (and shame on you if you manage that) I can flick that switch from 'undying loyalty' to 'you do not exist' in a heartbeat.
I assumed (always dangerous to do that) that Gemini Venus would allow you to block out Person A like they never existed and roll on with their lies like they never knew you.
Not like an Aries ice, but just registering nothing for that person (or for any damage you may have caused them.)
But maybe that is totally wrong?

That's true. It is selfish & inconsiderate to string someone along you do not care for, but it doesn't hurt to see if some sparks will fly. That person can ultimately end up being right for you, if you're patient that is. I'm trying because patience is sooooo not a virtue with me. I want things to happen yesterday! But I know that can't apply to relationships. I mean sparks have to fly organically. I do not believe in forcing, pushing, or pulling. As far as what makes it difficult to get over the last one is the person. However that person made you feel inside, whatever connection you've felt, you just KNOW because you "feel it". I can't really explain it. You just know it when you encounter it & it has nothing to do with sexual energy either.
So when you lose that, it's not so easy to forget which makes it challenging to move on, but I can't speak for anyone else. That's just my experience.

How long do you wait? What is the maximum limit for sparkless dates before tossing this one back and trying again?
If you have been blown away in a previous relationship (that THUNK! Instant attraction thing) you might reasonably expect that the sparks will happen pretty swiftly upon meeting someone if it is real.
Has anyone had experience of both A) Instant vs B) We kept going on sparkless dates until eventually it happened?

I believe ANYONE has the ability to do that. Doesn't matter what your sign is or what your Venus is in.
