For some people it's about the pain. That's why they like it.

For others it's not about the pain but instead about getting off on someone using a specific way to exercise having power of them. It's about the ultimate submissiveness.

Being choked is just 1 form/way people get to experience pain OR the high of feeling completely controlled. Some people prefer to get that exact "euphoria" or "high" from being handcuffed, chained, beaten or through dominant vs submissive role playing.
