He refused because she had a man and he found out. So apparently he stayed because of the kids.
Last week we had a conversation about being together and where do we start.
It's a very difficult move to make! So we had gotten together 3 years ago under agreement that nothing will be changed but as relationships were progressing - it became harder to pretend that we are happy where we are now. So we started to talk. Very carefully like 'I wish i was with you' and 'we live a lie' and 'we have lifes we have not the lives we want' after which I said 'I want life I want!' And he asked what do YOU want...and I've chocked!
So last week we had met to 'talk' about what I want. So far it all went very confusing and he said 'let's put this puzzle together piece by piece'...
I had also blubbed that I was hoping this is a phase and it'll pass which kind of caught his attention and he asked 'so it's a phase for you' ?
I said apparently it's passed 'phase' time...
So we went a long way from crazy to serious in 3 years after 8 years knowing each other. It's doubtly a 'phase' anymore...

No she is not cheating on him anymore and I haven't mentioned it because LIKE I SAID I just found out last week when we talked about our lives and what's going on and what kind of problems we are dealing with!
I kind of suspected that but I would never ask or mention it.
Finally he told me and I can tell he really was hurt saying it.

Oh wow. You know what I kind of figured that could have been the case when you mentioned on a thread a while back that she wasn't giving him sex. It makes sense now. She doesn't love him and doesn't want to be intimate with him, but I'd be worried for you.
If she cheated on him first then what he's doing with you is out of revenge. Therefore he could be using you to get back at his wife for straying. This is an important time to ask him, details like when and how it happened.

He was 'testing' me for 5 years prior to her thing. When we were doing business - he would keep me in the office until guys were saying 'let her go...she has to work...'
And he was always saying 'customers we like most we keep as long as we can'...
And stared in my sole making me want to die!
But it was always too much fun!
She derailed about 5 years ago and I saw change in him. He was not as happy and sometimes words slipped that I haven't understand...like God knows whom I wish to spend weekend with...
So I think his home life was failing long before. Kids were around 15.
He held himself strong until 3 years ago when he asked me if we can talk.
Kids were 22-25 by then and out of college.
So we had gotten into this affair. Until now and I its daily communications...we had been trough a lot including non communications but this year in April we are basically not separable. And we 'talking' about how to put things in perspective.

One day he called me as usually and it was a really bad time in my life...
so he was very understanding and tried to help me out telling me he will be there for me and I just said do you love me—
Air became thick! But he said yes I love you. I hanged up the phone and slid down the wall on the floor thinking what have I done?
Next day he called and asked me how I was and he said what happened yesterday! You should have known that I love...for all these years you had to ask?

I'm a Scorpio and I know for a fact I'm a good woman. I actually prefer not to cheat. If I'm unhappy I just leave and I don't make a commitment unless I intend to keep it. When hurt though I choose preservation over commitment.
