I'm one of those minimalistic taureans i guess bc i have very little clothing and belongings. i have however lost all of my belongings at one point so it teaches you a sort of detachment to material things. however as a true taurean, the few things i have are sturdy and reliable, comfortable and pleasant looking.
i am also quite thin for a taurus but thats not to say i always have been. i have the typical strength in a small package and the package is indeed strong and healthy. I'm very particular about what i put in and on my body but i KNOW how to eat! haha and cook of course ?

I like Taurus, it's just each sign as their flaws... Some are overly sensitive, some are overly impulsive, some are naturally annoying, Bulls are just too stubborn for me sometimes.

This is true to the extreme for me. When I hurt, I cry behind close doors, but I'll be damned if the person of no relevance who caused it will get the opportunity to see it. Only ones who can see it are parents, best friends, and significant other of __ years. Anyone else besides them? lol is my answer.

wow, that sounds great for you - how was it dealing with the loss of all your belongings ... I am at the point that I'm trying hard to downsize and get more detached from all my material things I've gathered over so many years ... trinkets just don't do it for me anymore ... but yes, I do not like cardboard furniture - stuff has be heavy and strong ...and I'm eating much better and starting back into my exercising ... I really want a tiny house - I think I would love that concept !

I'm actually making to plans to build a hobbit hole of sorts-- a home built inside of a hill... great natural insulation i figure with less materials maybe...
the losing of my possessions was a difficult one especially since the lot of it was 'worthless' childhood things. my most difficult things lost are the ones i cant replace bc of sentimental value.
but thats just it... the things may be gone but the sentiment remains. i find now that I am often uninterested in new clothes and possessions bc im so fixated on a more important aspect of my life rather than decoration. sure i like to look nice bit i have way more to offer than nice clothes. i love having a comfy home, but then again I also like spending a lot of time in nature.

wow, that is so me - at least I'm headed in that direction ... I have a nice 2 bedroom house on 7 acres which I could rent if I can do the tiny house on another part of the property - there is a huge sunny rock outcrop area that would be perfect for a hobbit hole house - with glass in the front facing the south to get the sun all day ... or into the back side of the mountain ... it's nice to see someone so young with this mindset ! and the nature thing ... we know all about that don't we ...

I'm glad to meet one of the Taurus who's doing minimalism because that's my goal to have.
I don't need to have more stuff unless it has a very potential to wear like if the material are stable for the longest tim. Money should more put out through experience instead of owning it.

I currently live in a one bedroom apt, moving to another one but much smaller. I will admit, it is difficult for me to let go of somethings or a lot in this case lol. I always give lightly used or things with tags still on away to church or people or even family overseas. I somehow still end up with no space lol. I don't think I can ever live a minimalist life style unless I'm living overseas and don't have shopping centers and so forth near me like I do in NJ. I think I can live in peace in another country near the beach as long as I have wifi, clothes, food and my cats/dogs. Thankfully with my job, I can enjoy my money with experience and materialistically, but that is also a disadvantage because most of us in the U.S. have this consumer life style mentality where its "want" more than "need". Maybe if I watched that documentary that came out last year about Minimalism, it could spark some inspiration in me to purge some more. I believe it's called Minimalism: A Documentary About the Important Things
Also, that show on HGTV is fun to watch, forgot the name but it is about people who give up living in a huge apartment/house and live the Tiny House life style .
