Is it lack of respect or what?
Sounds like a group of fuckboys bragging about being treacherous. You know who they are and what to say when they ask you out.
I don't think it's just a men being men thing. Groups of women can be this way too. There are just f'd up people out there, let's be real now.
I think, for some people, their first allegiance is to themselves. So if cheating provides something they want, even momentarily, they do it. The ramifications to other people are of a, rather distant, secondary concern. Add in the myriad of psychological and relationship issues that could be in play, and there is no easy way to say what drives something like this.
Also, these men may actually respect women in a broad sense but, as a result of the issues mentioned above-- or because they are just fucking horrible dudes, they just no longer have much respect for the women they are specifically involved with.

Hello gentlemen,
I have recently found myself in the company of several men - they are not acquainted with each other, so this is more than 1 group - successful men between the ages 37 - 52 with a very nonchalant attitude about their cheating or friends cheating. I've heard, well I get lonely on the road, or and no joke and no shade to the sags, but 1 actually used the excuse, that he was a sagittarius, what did we expect, 1 guy just accepts that his closest male friend, will always cheat and it's no big deal - he said side chicks know their place. And more than 1 of these guys are on their 2nd or 3rd marriage - ended because of his cheating and openly admit, it was their fault.
Anyway, I feel like it's a general feeling of disrespect towards women but I'm curious, why, is this not a big deal for men these days, is a loss of respect for marriage? Women? Family? Or I can, so I will? And why, the keep getting remarried?
And I'm don't want this to turn into a bashing thread, I'm trying to actually have a conversation.
I agree it's the disrespect but I also know that there are men who won't do this . However I do think the women turn a blind eye I mean look at the red flags remarried three or four times due to cheating. they're cvepting for many reasons, it for the life style . When you marry a playboy what do you expect . No you could say there are some of the women are clueless but ...

my new friend and I have this conversation almost daily - it's the era of "instant gratification" and both sexes, the media, society and whatever is fueling this craze ... there are still a few good people out there that believe in the greatness of two coming together and staying together and communicating and working things out no matter what
with all the bad stuff in this world and I'm sure my getting older has a lot to do with it, it is all I can do is to help set an example for my grandchildren - my son is one of the good ones and I am grateful for that ...
