Being intense it's about being passionate, obsessed, intrusive, combative and defensive about a subject at a time. A Gem friend was all that to me, but only because I was arguing with him till the cows came home. The subject was religion. On the other hand, my Gem ex was well informed, about any subject one could think about, but never intense.
I think what you describe is an extrovert falling in love. The obsession of the early stages, when you are unsure about how things will develop. Combined with the need to talk incessantly. It will calm down once you get to know each other and feel more secure with each other.

Ahhhh, okay yeah I understand now. So maybe it comes across as intense because I just verbalise it to everyone?
I do agree though with your last statement, I feel like that’s more me, I’m just insecure right now, I don’t know where I stand with things. I think I just need to calm down and treat it like normal rather than over thinking it. Maybe that’s where I went wrong with the first guy, I wasn’t good at holding back what I was feeling. So I’d tell him very honestly.

I get pretty strong reactions out of people. That’s for sure.
Emotionally I feel things quite deeply and sharply but I don’t know how to understand them or what to do with them so I typically intellectualize them away for the sake of not torturing myself further.

This isn’t my first love, I’m just noticing some similar traits I had when I first started to like my first “love” on my new crush, so I was getting a little worried. As four years later being called “clingy” and “intense” still haunts me. I want to learn from these mistakes and be better. But if I’m being honest I never understood it. I gave what I received, he was a Capricorn to be honest so I don’t know if that had anything to do with it.
