I really don't know truecap, for every aquarius trait I find endearing a counterpoint can also be made at how annoying it is *shrugs* but I'm still thinking! I'll get back to ya!

With caps what traits some of us caps don't like, some of the other caps love and vice versa.

As implied what I love about my fellow aquarians is everything stated. When they want to care they truly care but the sense of intimacy always just seems to be a veil only to be replaced with another face or another idea, just another experiment or shiny new toy. Worst is I do see this tendency in myself and when I do fixate on other things I know what ever I had held dear to me is still just as magical but my drive for finding odd puzzles to solve overwrites that feeling.

However endearing it seems to be or however intimate it's like you could never quite catch us, not entirely.

I don't know if this is a good or bad thing, but Aquarians who are air or fire dominated in their chart know how to be alone. As a result, they are able to walk away from a potential partner over a minor flaw which would be overlooked easily if they were incapable of being alone. Sometimes these aquas drop relationships on a whim because of this quality. I am an air dominated aqua and I don't really stick around if my partner continuous does something that annoys me or if I'm getting to know a person and I find one quality about them that irks me, I reject them based on that. This approach is quite harsh and is actually perceived that way as well by the love interest. They are left baffled that I could drop three weeks of non stop contact/connection over one thing they said which I didn't like at all. How I see it is that one thing is was a dealbreaker and I rather break it now then stick around, get attached only to walk away with a broken heart. I'm such a coward when it comes to matters of heart.

You're not a coward, it's very brave, in my opinion, to be willing to walk away. Good trait in that you make yourself happy and won't put up with stuff you don't like, maybe the bad side would be if you never told them why you left. ??

I can be in a room full of people and feel lonely. How did you feel when you were pregnant? I never felt lonely when I was pregnant for some reason. Sounds kind of weird, but that's how I felt.

Interesting, I have thought the same thing as being the only potential draw back of Aquas. Unfortunately I think that feeling of loneliness has got the better of many brilliant Aquas and caused them to kill themselves thinking that they will find their answer in the death realm.

I definitely dont understand my aqua guy friend...He is very distant with me, claims he's extremely busy. Tells me he's interested and is feeling me. However his actions say otherwise. I don't have the patience to figure him out, it's freaking driving me nuts. Im pretty close to walking away.

Geesh!! You've only been with him a month!! Girl, you're going to have to learn some patience!! Gonna need a lot of it!! Aquas aren't that difficult, just have to let it flow at its own pace.

The sad thing is that Aquarius is looking for knowledge for 'their' own enjoyment, so when they look for knowledge in death it is self defeating because they are destroying them selves in the process.

It's not in the Aquarian nature to seek death as an answer. Surely some of us can be fucked up and mental but if we want to speak on such general terms, saturn and uranus are just not that type of energy. So unless the Aquarius is heavily afflicted in the natal or loaded with water like me (I do entertain the idea of death) there's no knowledge to be found there.

I hate the fact I'm so damn quiet even round friends and family. Its not that I don't have anything to share, its just that I don't find the point of sharing it with anyone. What I like is that people find me to be a very good listener and spend hours on end tryna share their innermost feelings with me.

I'm not really sure what I feel is great about being Aquarius. I don't even feel I am exceptionally smart but people seem to think I'm brilliant w/e

All I can say is Knowledge is Power BUT it comes at the cost of knowing just how the world really works and what people are REALLY like.

You're not a coward, it's very brave, in my opinion, to be willing to walk away. Good trait in that you make yourself happy and won't put up with stuff you don't like, maybe the bad side would be if you never told them why you left. ??

Aww, thanks honey. I do tell them with all honesty why I'm leaving or walking away, and that's why people complain that aquas are heartless, mean, cold or ruthless. You'd think they would appreciate the honesty, but I guess it's true what they say 'truth is bitter'. Aquas don't exactly excel smooth talking and sugar coat things so it comes across as harsh to reject someone you've been talking to for a while wholly for one thing they did.

Death does sound very liberating but I'd NEVER kill myself. I'm not suicidal. I do wish I could get rid of the lonely spells though. It's not fun when they happen.

Saturn lends depression, is it why people kill themselves? Because of being depressed? Makes me think of Virginia Woolfe. I believe she had my combination, aqua sun/scorpio moon & she complained of loneliness amongst other things. Ended up drowning herself.

Seriously, I think our detachment is actually a blessing at times. But it can also be a curse and be the worst thing.

I'm going to lay something out that I do not see talked about a lot on here and it was something I dealt with for a long time and still do at times. I find the worst thing about being Aquarius is that we are detached because we do not know how to be truly intimate with another person. We are scared of being vulnerable so we hide behind all that shit. I am not talking about being intimate as in sex, I mean truly letting another person behind the walls, masks and distance we create in our lives. Maybe I was the only one that was like this but reading some of the comments other Aqua's make, I don't think i am alone. It has been a long process to learn how to allow others in and it can hurt if things fall apart but I want to live life and experience it, not just go through the motions if you will. I'd rather have a bit of hurt than numbness my entire life.

Best thing: we are pretty positive upbeat people and I think others enjoy being around our energy. I cannot recall many negative Aqua's. sure we may go through a rough time for a day or two but we bounce back pretty fast compared to others out there.

My thoughts on us 🙂

You might have a point there & I think that's why some of us feel lonely at times. It's the lack of a true connection with others. It's like a self-imposed solitary confinement. Now that I think about it, I think what I long for is a true connection with another. Just one.

Aquas are not about trickery, we loath that type of stuff. Do you even know how Aquas are? We are all about being honest and have others be honest with us. Personally, I think Pisces are too emotional to get us to open up. Not saying that to be mean but you can't come at us with all those things called feelings. 😛

I need someone that is stable and grounded to get me to open up, but that is just for me personally.

But see, this is the problem with Aquarians. You don't know how to compromise and not sweat the small stuff. You can't handle the emotional down shifts and run for the exits the first whiff of smoke. Look, I'm a bit of a loner myself. But that quality doesn't endear one to long term relationships. When you're young this attitude is prolly healthy. When you get older, you gotta ask yourself whether you really want to spend those final days in the rocking chair alone. An Aquarian might be better suited to that but will it really make him or her happier? Being in relationship means giving up some control and hanging tough when the going gets tough. A Cancer understands this on an instinctual level. Call us needy all you want but can you love on our level?

I dont know about you.But i've researched and even real life aqua suns are in long term relationships. Maybe it's just the ones you know or have met. It is kind of like a broken record. Because goodness gracious, plenty of us in relationships while many other sun signs are not. And our significant other doesn't want us going anywhere but in their arms.

I can soooo realte to this! I love your description! Its so hard to open up to people, even the people Im super close to! Its been really difficult to understand why Im like this.
Also - people are always so perplexed how happy I can be through the toughest of times, or how crazily I can turn a negative into a positive!

Theres this thing called "the overview effect" its when astronauts perception chance when they view the world from space??_..its like feeling completely alone knowing all love and hate, war, disease, corruption, peace, tranquility, everything you know is on that big ball in front of you??_.. although I would love to know what its like being an aqua gives me some degree of overview effect??_.

Sometimes its good because I like being an observer and I see things people don't see and I can perceive coming situations that others don't see coming..

On the bad side I hate the feeling of being an outsider and that means I can't enjoy myself and that I don't feel like I'm in the moment its a major disconnection of mine when I'm with a group of friends going out and we are all drinking and sitting at a table and talking and laughing I'm up in my head somewhere else if I'm on the dance floor by myself its a different story??_ when I have sex with someone Its like I'm watching an educational documentary and it takes some time for me to be in the moment with someone??_.they have to reel me in and be there with them??_.another bad thing is trying to explain myself to people and they don't take me seriously because I'm a happy person and having to witness bad things occurring when they should be easily prevented.

I can relate to all of this especially the part about not being in the moment. Sometimes I can't even pee without doing a mantra, I have to psyche myself to be there...be in the moment. Or I'd be sitting in the toilet the whole day if I don't call myself back to earth.

I dont know about you.But i've researched and even real life aqua suns are in long term relationships. Maybe it's just the ones you know or have met. It is kind of like a broken record. Because goodness gracious, plenty of us in relationships while many other sun signs are not. And our significant other doesn't want us going anywhere but in their arms.

I know some Aquas who hate so many things because they think that liking them will categorize them. Like, they hate pop music to the point where they really get depressed being in a car of people listening to it because they want so desperately to be different from the crowd. That kind of attitude can ruin a persons life...

Suppose it'll be interesting and funny to poll 'hipsters' and see how many of them are actually Aquarius. To bad being hipster isn't so hip anymore.
