The influential 17th-century astrologer William Lilly states simply: "Planets in angles do more forcibly show their effects." [1] Angular houses rule those critical things in our life, such as our appearance and how we behave, our family life, our married life or partnerships, and our career."

You probably don't realise it, most people don't, 10th house is for others to see. I think 10th has sort of a fixed quality, Capricorn is kind of one of the fixed signs, it's the ultimate boss sign.Posted by bricklemarkWhich of the four houses you'd pay the most attention to? I guess your inner balance really comes from the partner, that Jupiter energy is your balance ; as the expansive planet it makes sense that it's facing your triple whammy of slower planets in the first. It's hard to have outer plantets in the personal houses, say, 1 to 5. So yeah an eccentric, outgoing, lively, or rich partner seems the key here. Good luck with your Saturn return 🙂click to expand

What about you? What do you have in these houses?Posted by FragranceNot really my own interp but l come back to them often, they really define who you are or how your social life works, or how the grand public sees you.
2 (Jupiter, Pluto) in the 1st house and 3 (Mercury, Mars, Saturn) in the 4th. Why do you ask bricklemark? Do you have your own interpretation about it?
You must have a LOT of presence with those dynamic planets in 1st...and a lot going on in the family and at home.
I also have Chiron in the 10th house, by the way, not a planet though. 7th is empty... social life isn't fabulous 😄
I've read a lot about my planets in the 4th house, since I have a stellium there... not much happening at home right now, it's more like I never had a real home or family
Thats a heavy 4th house you have, intellectual family, combative, motivated, and strict? These things should also define who you are.
Yes, both of my parents are Mercury dominant, my dad is nuts, tyrannical, but kind-hearted underneath, mom is aloof, but caring and hippie like. I also have Aqua IC and was brought up by my hippie Mercurian mom who compensated for the lack of emotional support by engaging me in fun and interesting activities. My education was their concern number 1, dad was very strict and controlling about it... I'm absolutely fascinated by how precisely my chart describes my childhood! It's easy to read it with a full 4th house...
Yeah l guess Saturn 1st is similar...l have that strict Saturn aura, l'm kind depressed sometimes, or too serious.
Yeah tough childhood, jealous of one parent, power struggles, tendency to destroy family relationships.click to expand

You'll have to clarify this for me then.. I thought I was looking into ruler 10 in the 8th becasue my Sun was in the 8th? Yet you have ruler 10 in the 8th as well.. So it's not due to my Sun in the 8th.. did I completely misunderstand? I have Leo MC, and also Venus in the 8th, along with Sun, Jupiter & Chiron.
And alright, I get that.. I would think 8th House would be more in tune with a violent death.
And you are right, the only jobs that seem to be able to guarantee work and an income are the more common type of professions. They don't really catch my attention. It's almost like I am trying to create something that doesn't exist..

Posted by blackphaseYes it's about the house cusp. Everybody (generally) has a different rising sign, and a whole set of houses. If your rising sign is Cancer, your 4th house will be libra approximately, your 7th will be capricorn for sure, your 10th house will be the opposite of 4th, so approx. Aries. The way the earth rotates it's not exact, like 4th house might be virgo or scorpio, there might be 2 or 3 signs in the same house, and only part of one sign in another house. Each birth chart is unique. But when people say "l have such sign in such house", they're talking about their personal chart. Like 2nd house is associated with Taurus and Venus, but it could be ANY sign, it all depends on your time of birth.Posted by bricklemarkWhen you say Leo in a House you mean the specific House Leo starts in as there is only one as opposed to (example) Leo Mars in 7th House ... We are not focusing on the fact that Leo is in a sign in that House right? This is strictly about where a sign starts in a House right? What is the name for this? I always get confused as to which Houses people are talking about..Posted by blackphase

If you have Leo in a house, you check the Sun. Taurus or Libra, check Venus, Aries, check Mars. Sagit, check Jupiter. Cappy, check Saturn....
If you have Leo 5th house, and Sun is in 12, you look up "ruler of the 5th in 12th."
If you have Aries MC and Mars in the 8th, you look up "ruler of the 10th in 8th."
If you have Sagit rising, and Jupiter 2nd, look up "ruler of the 1st in 2nd." ?
Yeah try to create it anyway, we need thinkers, new jobs, new ways of thinking human life and income. Even if it doesn't really work, l would suggest you try.
I understand the first part.. Sun rules Leo so if your Sun is in the 12th you are looking for the ruler of your 5th House (which is Leo) in the House that Sun placement is right?
I don't follow the next 2 examples though, sorry 😢
