I haven't succumbed to peer pressure simply because I haven't had the chance to. It's because no one has openly expressed interest in me yet.
The pressure comes from the fact that as a virgin you're regarded as someone who hasn't fully matured. Someone who hasn't transitioned from being a child to being an adult.
Losing your virginity is also directly attributed to desirability, so being a virgin equates to failing your gender.
Since sex is "so amazing" and "everyone's doing it" there's some sort of intrinsic failure in being a virgin. You're thought of as someone "lesser"

And yeah, we all sure want people to like us for more than just our looks. I was like you before as well.But we gotta understand one thing here. Looks do attract people initially... emotional connection can happen eventually in many cases.You'll know if n when a guy is trying to just get into your pants. Don't despise everyone who likes you for your looks. How you carry what's gifted to you, i.e looks, is very much a part of your personality. They won't stay if we don't have more to offer than just looks either. More often than not, it's the guys thinking that we are easy rather than they being easy trust me. I meant specifically on their end. What do they have to do to be committed to you? Marriage and loyalty is easy. But you make it sound like you're the one avoiding marriage with these people.
