Astrological Placements Linked to Pride and Independence

Astrological placements such as Leo in the Sun or Mars, and strong Fire or fixed signs, can contribute to pride and independence. These placements often indicate a desire for recognition and self-reliance, which may be perceived as pride. Understanding your planetary positions can provide insight into these traits and how they influence your behavior.

I didn't initially believe it myself, but it's a more frequent feeling with women who hold those 4 signs as major influences than you would think.

I don't want to pry but I will say Gemini or Mercury-dominant types can transform your outlook.

Yea, could be scorp moon! Emotionally thinking, "I don't need anyone" yet wishing someone would offer.

Moon emotions, mars action.

And like LibraLovesHim alluded to: being uncomfortable with relying on others for help often ties with fear of public disappointment or humiliation.

yes....I worry that if I accept help and allow people know when I'm vulnerable..they will use it against me later ....

Sun in the 1st... woah!

Mars in the 1st.

Sun or Mars in the 10th.

The 1st and 10th are where pride lies... whatever planet, sign, just gives more detail.

"The way you were raised...." that statement is a first house statement.

It's understandable There are a lot of people who feel the same way.

Usually you will have to get to a point where your aversion to being vulnerable is finally outweighed by your irritation at attracting the insecure side of others who seem threatened by your ideals in life. Even the people who seemed strong and live for a cause of their own, when you first met them, can turn resentful or threatened by the fact you won't readily accept their help. It could very well be that when you get tired of noticing that same pattern, you've noticed something that's finally worse than being vulnerable in a relationship with people who's ambition finally matches your own. And it won't seem like a big deal to let yourself accept help from people who genuinely care for you, and vice versa, anymore.

Mmhm.

Work my ass off. Work, work, work to number one seat. Quiet and humble on the outside but knowing I'm fuckin' awesome on the inside. Bask in the success from bottom to top. Glowing with pride within. I'm never really a dick about it to others though. I'm competitive but I never back away from helping others be successful.

I have so much pride I still think about fuckers who screwed me over 6 years ago.

I guess with time you will get over it. But I don't know yet, since I still haven't fully gotten over some shit yet.

I get it. But it's their loss and remember, revenge is a dish best served cold. It does feel good to get even. It helps you to completely move on with greater ease and determination.

leo venus and leo rising here. with a 12th-house sun i can give a lot to people, but if there are insults to my pride that pass a certain threshold then I am sorry there is nothing more i can do for them, ever. this threshold is pretty high for me though. I feel bad for them for a few minutes, then never think or consider them again. I'm not rude, they are still human beings, but will forever be part of the other clan, so to speak.

i have scorp rising and leo venus. also sag moon, so yeaah, my pride is really huge thing for me, it's not good really, because i know from all things, you can't do everything alone, it's impossible, but i always do everything on my own, i think it's pride and gives a person the most growth, but at the same time, you can make huge mistakes and disapoint other people for example when i had some kind of virus that was limiting my breathing and i couldn't breathe i almost died, i couldn't ask for help, couldn't ask a person a simple think just to bring me some meds, that's really stupid and now i don't do this, but i think this shows how much pride means to a person, he's ready to die for it, also once my father asked me to help him carry a table, i said don't worry i can do it on my own, i knew i could, but i lost the balance, and broke the table, intentions were good, but i lost balance and fell on the table, if we were holding it me and him it would have turned out oposite, also i notice i help many people, but never want to ask for help from anyone else, i believe i need to do everything on my own, but i think some people are mistaking pride for self worth and self respect sometimes, for example if person doesn't treat you well and doesn't want to talk or be with you, you should leave, and that's not pride, that's self respect and self worth. both things are similar, sometimes it's hard to know which one it is. 🙂 you should know yourself and know where to be prideful and when to calm down , because pride can cost you loads of things really. 🙂

My Leo moon definitely gives me pride. I can recall many an argument with my spouse that involved feelings on my part such as "How DARE you question my good intentions!!!" or "How DARE you compare me to those (inferior) exs!!! I am NOT like that!" LOL
