I just can't believe you're gone... it's hard. I miss being the 3rd wheel like old times before your brother and I got together lol. I've been hanging out with your gf almost daily, trying to make sure she's ok, while leaning on her for support. I just wanna be there with her all the time because none of my other friends understand, and I've shut them out cuz of it.... It just feels so weird not having you there. I sometimes catch myself wanting to ask her where you're at, but then I realize that you're no longer with us... I see men on Harley's who have the same build and style as you, and I think it's you but then reality hits. I saw someone who looked like you at the bar yesterday, and it tripped me out. I just keep forgetting that you're physically not here anymore. I think I'm grieving later than everyone else because I had to think for your mom, dad, brother, and gf when we all found out because none of them could think straight. You know how many deaths I've dealt with, so I was able to shut off my emotions that week leading up to your funeral. It really hit me on 4th of July because we were just celebrating 4th of July with each other last year. Your brother has kind of shut me out and I'm having a hard time with that. Idk what to do. I'm trying to give him space to grieve, but it's tough because I'm grieving as well, and I just wanna be with him constantly. He's grieving the way he wants, but I'm not able to because he's pushing me away. It makes me feel insecure about our relationship. You know my anxiety, and you can relate to it since you had anxiety yourself. My anxiety tricks me to thinking he doesn't love or care about me anymore and that's why he's ignoring me. And then it doesn't help to have all my friends quickly assume that he's cheating just because he's withdrawn from me. That's why I constantly read about grief on these forums to get a grip on reality. To re-assure myself that my anxiety is just feeding me lies. It's just been so hard without you... you were so loved and I know you see it. I just wish I could see you one last time... I wish we would've hung out more towards the end. I wish that I went when you told me you wanted me and your gf to all hangout that night. I'm sorry I didn't go and that I put it off. I don't feel guilty about it because I know you would've forgiven me. I'm so thankful we were able to have that long phone conversation the week before it happened... what you told me will forever be embedded in my brain, and I promise to always look out for you gf like you said you wanted me to. Thank you for fighting for me, and always having my back. I'll tell my future kids about how they have the most amazing uncle ever. A friend decided that I'm too toxic of a person and shitty of a friend to be worth keeping, and so he's been tying up loose ends so our friendship could end. Everything he's done back when I thought we were still "friends" was geared to fuck. It's sad when you show someone your true self, but turns out they don't want it, and that they used your trust and blind spots against you.
