my Cancer friend has broken it off with a guy who was totally into her because he had bad breath... is this a deal breaker? I asked her to speak to him about it but she said she would rather die LOL

what do you cancers think?

Everyone has had moments of their breath not being sparkling fresh, depending on the situation, and a few have truly putrid breath for long term, but if that's a deal breaker for her then she wasn't that into him to begin with.

ive had several guys i couldn't deal with cause of their breath.

my cousin was here for 3 weeks from Britain, man his breath reeked, you don't know how many times i mentioned flossing, brushing your tongue, etc etc etc

he didn't get it.

Could be from poor digestion or digestive problems, too. Also, tonsil stones could cause it, so could a bad tooth.

Yep it's a turn off, but I'd rather someone kindly tell me so I can find a solution. Tooth problems just end up hurting like hell so he wasn't doing himself a favor by putting it off.

I'm on the Aqua/Pis cusp too and I say HUGE deal breaker.

LTR with someone who had it, all the time, even five minutes after brushing. I bought him every remedy under the sun to help. He brushes and flosses multiple times a day. When we were first dating he always had Altoids and gum and such. Can't do that forever though...

Never helped.

Deal breaker...

she was into him big time... she let it go for awhile but then admitted she couldn't do it any longer

Some of you people are pathetic. Too afraid just to be honest and willing to help. You'd rather just leave them heartbroken when really all it would take is a few weeks of brushing and flossing regularly to fix it.

Some lf you should be ashamed. It isn't like your deciding wether to put their old mother in a home or something.

You just say look we need to talk about something that matters a lot to me. Your breath is terrible, and I can't take it, but with a little effort we can fix this. Look I love you with all my heart, but I can't take it anymore. If you love me the same you will be willing to take better care of yourself for the sake of both our happiness.

Well, she's the one who knows her limits. Either she'll regret her choice later or she won't.

Bad teeth and bad breathe would eventually be deal breakers, they normally coincide. I mean come on, why can't you smell your breath, do a check or something, it's right next to your damn nose.

Like, ever heard of a toothbrush, floss, tic tacs, gum....
