We are not torturing them. Only eating them. Made baby squid with fresh green peppercorns and Padron peppers spaghetti last night, one of my favourite recipes.

I will never turn down my moms hard work. She spends hours out in the water on her kayak fishing and checking the lobster traps. But we kill these guys and clean them/de shell them before boiling them.

Not only is it more humane, it makes for an easier cleanup

Sensitive

Take 35-45 minutes to die

Horrible 😥

Scream 😞

"Lobsters don't have vocal cords, and even if in agony, they cannot vocalise. The high pitched sound made by an overheating lobster is caused by expanding air rushing out of small holes in lobsters' bodies, like a whistle being blown. A dead lobster will “scream” just as loudly as if it was living"

Torture

When other animals, including humans, experience extreme pain, their nervous system may shut down as a coping mechanism. Zoologists have found that lobsters and other crustaceans don't have this ability to go into 'shock' so when they are exposed to cruel procedures (such as having their claws or 'tail-meat' torn off or being boiled alive) — their suffering is prolonged.

What do you think happens to them in the wild when their tails are torn off by non human predators lol.

Notice I didn't say claws cause they have the ability to regrow claws, antenna, and legs after shedding when injured or diseased. Doesn't cause pain either, according to what I've read.

And those claws aren't decorative, they use em to crush clams and oysters, muscles and shrimps. Are you gonna cry about the shrimps suffering too 😂😂

They kinda do or so I have heard. You know the smell of fresh cut grass after you mow your lawn? Scientists been saying that smell is an alarm smell to signal other grass that there is something cutting them to pieces. Some plants also known to produce poison when it is harmed or harvested.
