What the heck?!

Okay y'all this is grating on my nerves...the relationship/friendship is completely dead but he still is trying to do nice things for me. What the hell? I don't get it. For example: he formatted a retro pi to put video games on it for me but it doesn't work but yet he wants to fix it for me even though he told me to never contact him again. I'm not even going to email him back but what is his logic? Why is he doing this?

Because he's not in control of his emotions as indicated by his actions. He said to never to contact him again, but now he's trying to help you out. He (like anyone who break up with another person) is unsure about the break up.

So really there's no logic to it, it's just emotion that he's trying to work through. If he broke up with you, he may start chasing you if you ignore him. If you broke up with him, then he's chasing you for sure.

Sorry but this is your fault- You have been "over it" for as long as I have been on this forum. You are under obligation to respond to him. The only reason you two interact is because you choose to do so. If you are/ were done with him, then nothing he does (short of violence/ verbal abuse) should warrant a reaction from you. In short; stop feeding the troll.

Yeah, I know it's my own fault. Thank you for your candidness. I'm just trying to understand his thinking I don't get pulled into his b.s again.

He feels bad about the way things ended... his attempt to be helpful is mainly so he can sleep better at night. he might not be romantically interested, but rather wants to make amends.
