Are Libras jealous about their friendships?

Hello to all of you wonderful folks. I have a peplexing situation with a very nice Libra lady. My best friend and I have been together thru thick and thin for over 16 years. Well..my friend met this libra lady and they became friends at work, and so the three of us end up doing things together like auctions, and dinner,etc...Well for some reason this libra lady acts very jealous about the closeness me and my friend have. We ALWAYS hang together, and she seems perturbed even though she knows we have a very long history. She also seems to always turn planned events around almost any time we go somewhere. We plan a motorcycle ride, and she has to stop at the vet and pick up meds first. We plan to eat at a certain restaraunt, and she complains about where or what it is untill she gets to go where SHE wants to go...It always seems like we are bending to what SHE wants, and if she doesn't get it her way she acts all pouty and like somebody did her wrong. I like her alot otherwise, but she tends to make comments to me that are middle road nasty/just kidding type barbs. Is this Libra? or just her? She's on the verge of insulting, and I might just blow but don't want to mess up my friend's rapport with her? What do you think?

Yes, sounds like jealousy. Of the attention deficit variety. But I cannot tell whether she wants your or your friend's attention.

Well her sly comments are usually directed towards me, but I am very good to her (and her husband). She has a bad shoulder, and she complains that her kids or husband won't massage her, so when I'm around I'll do it for her. She's o.k. alot of the time, but then, I don't know....It's like she wants you to forget yourself, and get lost in her. Her world, her foods, her idea of health, her way of getting from point A to B...She asks me personal questions which require an opinion of me and then tries to pick my opinion apart...Maybe we just don't agree, but I hate planning to do something and then get side tracked by "oh I gotta stop here and get bottled water" or "I just gotta go back to my house and let the dog out for a minute (your there for 20), or "Pizza Hut? Why pizza hut? I like Papa Johns better and it's closer to MY house"? When she's done getting all HER business done...THEN maybe you can continue on your fishing trip or whatever. Maybe just a brat huh?

I can get protective of my friendships. I don't like it when people cut me out of the circle. Being left out really hurts my feelings. I am getting better about it but it still stings and I wonder why don't they want me hanging around. The better the friends, the more it stings. I generally find three is not a good number for female friendships. Someone always gets their feelings hurt. A group of any other number seems to work but three seems destined for diaster.

I HATE when people try to take over the plans like you are describing. Is she on a cusp? I know a LOT Virgos who are like that as well as a couple of Cancer and Pisces girls but air? I have never encountered that. We usually are just happy to go along. I get pissy when people change the plan. It is one of those things that can make me squirrelly.

It doesn't sound like she has a lot of friends.

I dunno what to make of the changing the plan thing. I am usually the person who invites everyone out so it is usually my plan.

Funny I am Virgo, but it makes me squirrley too. I have know many Libras and Never have had any problem with them. She's not on the cusp but at the very beginning (late Sept.)
I feel like I have exhausted my resources. We all went to a wedding last Saturday. Now everybody knew it was Saturday and we all knew it would take some prep time and we were scheduled to help the bride bring chairs out to the site. Well this libra goes and schedules a Dr. Apt.@11:30 and she's supposed be ready to go at 12:30 UGHHHH!!! Then, well I like beer and she doesn't drink...fine. I drink beer, her husband drinks beer. When the wedding is over she want to go to an auction...I flat out DON'T. Because I don't want to got go she hollers out to everybody that I don't want to go to the auction 'cause I've had too much to drink. I mean what an ASSSSSSS! Neither me or her husband had too much but I swear she pissed me off in public and I just held my toungue.
I just didn't want to go to the damn auction period! OH Lord help me...she made me so mad!!

I'm not Libra bashing or anything hope you know.....I am just TOTALLY perplexed with this lady. Sparrow, you are right really, she doesn't have any friends that I know of. She makes herself go to this square-dancing thing which I am not in to at all. Just out of courtesy to her though, I drove 30 min. to get to one of her get togethers, just because she pushed until I did it out of guilt. It's like I could tell her I don't like square dancing till I'm blue, and she's still trying sign me up! I want to scream.....

What is her problem? I would be "benching" her. Meaning, I would be nice to her when I saw her but not making plans with her until she can behave.

That is just plain rude and uncalled for. She just seems very selfish.

Ahhh okkay ... just got your last post. I think she is just lonely and not handling it well. The thing is you have to be flexible if you are going to have people in your life AND respectful.

I find the more friends I have, the happier and more balanced I am but she has to give.

Have you talked to your friend about this?

My friend was right there, and saw how pissed I was...I don't know if they discussed anything between them but I did not, and I haven't talked to ms Libra since then. It will be a cold day in hell before she gets a shoulder rub, or a steak on the grill, help with her computer! (thanks for letting me vent). I guess I just don't come up against too many people that rub me the wrong way like this. Maybe she's just trying to piss me off cause I'm generally easy-going. I think next outing, I'll just stay home.

I doubt she is doing it on purpose. She could just be socially obtuse.

I would probably sit it out unless it is something I really want to do and just meet everyone there and ignore her.

P.s...My friend is getting MORE and MORE perturbed with libra but they work together and my friend doesn't want to hurt her feelings....even Libras daughter is aggrivated with her...She's got a good heart though.

There will be a subtle expression of jelousy when a libra is thrown out of friends circle. he/she may try to get back the attention or may roam around.
