I liked your post but my 'like' is not counted as a vote. For obvious reasons.
I didn't participate in the Awards from 2014-16 because that was apparently a period where the host did a circle jerk of all people within what they call "Tier 1", thus there was no sense of transparency since we didn't get to know the results except maybe the first year (2014).
In 2017, it was Damnata's turn. It was more reflective of how people really voted but the results were likewise not shown. At least, the people who deserved to win did win. Damnata's style was more inclusive too - the awards really made sense and people actually knew what the awards were unlike in the previous years where only the folks who were aware of the "inside jokes" understood what the awards were for.
The lack of transparency was my reason for volunteering to host the awards in 2018, and as you can see, the results, the data were shown.

I didn't participate in the Awards from 2014-16 because that was apparently a period where the host did a circle jerk of all people within what they call "Tier 1", thus there was no sense of transparency since we didn't get to know the results except maybe the first year (2014).
In 2017, it was Damnata's turn. It was more reflective of how people really voted but the results were likewise not shown. At least, the people who deserved to win did win. Damnata's style was more inclusive too - the awards really made sense and people actually knew what the awards were unlike in the previous years where only the folks who were aware of the "inside jokes" understood what the awards were for.
The lack of transparency was my reason for volunteering to host the awards in 2018, and as you can see, the results, the data were shown.

I think your initial basis for an argument is not going to go down well, or your platform that you’re somehow a DXP Award Vigilante.

Robyn and Tiz did a very good job of hosting and people genuinely enjoyed the awards, which may have been one the last times people actually turned out to participate.
Lastly, you didn’t participate for other reasons. Particularly due to the fact that you were “studying” if I recall.

the fact that some of the awards were sloppy was the reason why the awards last year was clearly the best. it was intended! that's how dxp awards should be.
also, we were running out of time last year since ands went missing for a couple of weeks. we could only do with two or three weeks of the last month of the year, which was the reason why the results were pushed to December 30, 2018 to January 1, 2019. you can't blame me for the restricted time schedules, that was already out of my controls!

The mere fact that “Tier 1” was created was meant to exclude people who are not part of that group. That’s why even though Ands was my best friend and we were literally the same person to most people, I never expressed an iota of desire to be included in that group for I was for all-inclusion. I even made appreciation threads to people who were bullied.
In 2014-16, the tier 1 people clearly run the awards. That’s why most award categories can only be understood by users who knew the inside jokes. And worst, there were categories meant to low-key bully some users. And the results were not revealed, which puts a big question on transparency and credibility.
At least, Damnata made efforts to ask people what awards to be included so her categories made sense even to people who are outside the Tier 1 group.
As for last year, you can only blame the person who volunteered to host the awards but went missing for 3-4 weeks, pushing the voting process to the last 2 weeks or so of the year. It was not because the people could not understand the award categories. It was because of the lack of time.
