Not ignoring...got lost in the sea of the interwebs attempting to find a link to something I thought you'd also like if you're enjoying that line of thinking. And being utterly unsuccessful in locating it thus far.

Synopsis was it was from Tom porter, a native american, speaking of their ways and how they view acceptance of things like death. That things are how they are meant to be, and that there must be death, which is just part of the journey. Also about being thankful, the interconnectivity of all life... Blah. I just had it like a month ago and now I can't find the right search terms. Lol. Guess I'm not supposed to yet... ah, the irony 😂

How I had to move back to my small town for summer and I just got to dads place for the night and he hands me an old hunting book with stories about my favorite place to hunt but I've not made it up there in a while. How good is that.

So are you going hunting there soon then?

Deer, Chamois and Pigs mostly, all introduced so it's an important job to keep them from eating everything.

Soooo I gotta admit I did not realize chamois was an actual creature. I thought that chamois cloth was just a particular way of tanning/processing regular cow hide 😂 do they taste like beef? They look rather goat like to me but my search said they were bovine...

Good on you, invasive species can wreck absolute havok on natives if there's no real natural predators. Pigs/high are so destructive with their rooting.

They're a goat relative, halfway between antiliope and goat. They don't taste great at all, very gamey and chewy.
