2011 DXP Awards Ceremony!!!

Welcome to the first (hopefully annual) DXP awards ceremony. Tonight we wish to honor (or scold) some notable DXP users that have made an impact on our lives. Whether it be through valuable insight into life's problems and endeavors or making us cringe at the sight of your avatar, we are here to congratulate you!

The ceremony will take place promptly at 10:00 p.m. Central time and anyone may participate. This thread will be home to the ceremony and the actual awards unless the forums go down tonight. In which case you may still participate via live phone conferencing also starting at 10 p.m. Details are as follows.

I'm only feeling sad that I couldn't join the conference call last night.. my sister sprung a surprise visit on me this weekend, and I was enjoying catching up with her and spending time with my nieces and nephew Hopefully, there will be other conferences I can join!

I love that there were like 6-way ties lol.

When you break it down, the winners overall consisted of Pisces, Scorpios, some virgos, a couple of Gems, and then like... VB lol.

I also see an Aries, an aquarius, a libra, A Cap, and some others that I'm missing.

I would have to agree with you, which is why I requested that all my nominations be removed.

There are hundreds of people on this site, and the only people participating are the ones within a certain limited group.

However, I participated in voting, so I'm just as guilty.

It wasn't even close to being real if people like Dward or GeminiFox or tiki weren't considered .. and the reason why they weren't is because they aren't apart of the clique, and they are real people in here who are nice.

What about sweethearts —? It doesnt' get more real than that ...

So, I come and see that the only people on the winners list are the same very limited people.

I'm talking about the creator of this contest only reaching limited members here, and these limited members all talk to the same limited people.

I haven't talked to Nefer about a Pisces. I had one thread concerning that subject and while Nefer posted on that thread I haven't had any other conversation with her about it. Although I haven't posted much on all the different boards, I do read a lot of what has been posted therein, so I have gotten a "feel" for some of the people that posted here.

But, I can see your angle too. This was all supposed to be in the spirit of fun, right? 🙂

I didn't take it against me, P.. and in fact, *I* voted for Tiki in that category - and I sincerely believe she deserves the award. Perhaps it's because I too have been here quite awhile (almost 2 years or something).. and lately, Tiki's been posting here only rarely and doesn't have the kind of exposure she once did. *sigh* I miss her. A lot.

That said.. I'm pretty sure Tiki wouldn't mind sharing the award with me (such as it is, being a virtual "popularity" award that smacks of those clique-y high school "mock elections"!).. she and I are BOTH here to HELP.. and the accolades, while nice, are not what drives either of us to do what we do.

I'm sure she wouldn't mind, and that wasn't my point .. I shouldn't have meant it to sound like that when I used the word "deserved".
