I've gone before and didn't enjoy the crowds. The stores didn't stock enough "deals" so you've either wasted your time or end up buying something that is not on sale.
And the electronics, are just crap. They're just cheaply made so they can sell it cheap. Bought a DVD player several years ago and it pooped out in about six months.

Some people get energized and it is a tradition that sets off their Christmas, but I have found it's not for me. Was curious if other's thought different.

I think I prefer on-line shopping as well.

Nooo.

I won't "wrassle" with strangers publicly (or privately)

over something they clearly want more than I do.

Maybe if it was more like a game show where knowledge

of useless trivia won the prizes....

I really want to dropkick someone in the face for the last portable dvd player. It truly is that specific, and It's on my bucket list.

I've watched a large group of women fight over a table of Easter baskets at Wal-Mart before.

I can totally see you jumping in and cracking heads.

It might be worth getting up and going to Wal-mart just for the entertainment purpose. lol!

I'll wear a cup and eye protectors too.

Gotta think these things ahead.

Have you ever seen women go into a sale at Mango?

Do they even have Mango in the US?

You fear for your life in a scene like that

I've never heard of Mango. Then again, maybe it's just because I'm in rural Texas.

I can't physically bring myself to get up that early in order to stand in the cold darkness of the morning in a long line just to buy something. Never done it

There used to be people that camped out over night to be in line to hit an early sale. CRAAAZZZYYY.

twice. Regretted it both times. Cyber Monday is the way to go. You get all the same (if not, better) deals without having to wait in line or getting your feet stomped on.

There's a Mango on 34th street in NYC...similar to Zara but Zara is waaaaaaaaaay better.

Zara and Topshop are love.

Topshop definitely! ASOS can sneak away with a lil change here & there. Urban Outfitters for BDG jeans!

Love UO.

We've got Mango in our parts of the states, too, but it's also nowhere nearly as popular as Zara.

not at Best Buy.

well depending on where you're at and if you like Samsung phones. you can upgrade to installment billing on sprint, Verizon or AT&T and get a $ 250 gift card with some samsungs. that's pretty worth it overall seeing as two year contracts with phone companies will be obsolete In a few years. those gift card deals are going on now though as an early Black Friday special, so I'd spare yourself the misery of the chaos on Thursday/Friday

I'm sure they'll have some tvs on sale too. they always do

It's a waste of time. A good portion of the time, what I need to get for gifts isn't any of the deals in the stores. Nevermind that the main items they advertise are limited quantities and are usually sold out in 10 mins. I think I've ventured out once or twice, but it was later in the afternoon after everyone raided the store. Wasn't all that impressed with the non early bird deals either.

I have noticed this year that a lot of retailers are putting out pretty good sales on things prior and maybe shifting away from the "Black Friday" idea.

are you nuts? hell fkn no.

the inevitable hospitalization bills from being stampeded & trampled by hordes of glaze-eyed heifers viciously grabbing at crap they don't need would be a lot more than the $ 40 savings off of crap I don't need

however it is an interesting alternative to Discovery Channel if yr in the mood for an animal documentary. just peer in thru a window with binoculars & a safari hat, and stay the fuck away from the entrance.

It's all corporate greed!

I worked retails sales for over 12 years ... they mark up the retail price to make it appear that you are getting a "deal" lol

Honestly, i won't go near a store the entire weekend after Thanksgiving. It's rediculous how crazy people get.

Don't get me started on the shit ON Thanksgiving itself. People have families and they should get to enjoy this day as well.

People have gotten killed at Wal Marts the last few years. Don't do it.

My roommate works for them and the stories i get to hear make me glad i stopped working retail.

I think about a herd of sheep or lemmings when I think about black Friday. Instead of standing out in the cold and freezing rain I can just shop on Amazon. There is like what...a handful of REALLY good deals on things you probably dont need that bad to bum rush a retail stores entrance?
