So the Virgo is coming with my fam and I for spring break wherever we go. My fam and the Virgo don’t have the adamant desire that I have to travel (sag trine) so they’ve left the planning, place to go, itinerary all to me. Probably for the best lmaooo

But anyway, I think I’ve settled on Costa Rica ☺️

Has anyone been? Know any places/cities to go to and/or things to do? Any words of caution, good travel deals. Anything of the sort? Thanks guys 🥳

Just hope that you truly have fun. Bringing people along who aren't as excited as you? 🤔 Just make sure your vacation is the vacation that YOU WANT.

Yeah I know it sounds bad lmao. But my fam really needs a vacay, it’s been so long. The Virgo honestly has like a lot of Leo placements and a sag moon so hes down for whatever but hes a lil lion homebody. Once I get him out there though I know he’ll acclimatize.

just get a rental car, drive carefully (there are holes in the driveways) and go to either

the usual manuel antonio national park, so san jose > Quepos > manuel antonio.

or the tourist spot punta arenas, nobody will get lost there, and is a "big" town.

I like signed up for anywhere.com and they personalized an itinerary based on a quiz I took of the things I wanted us to do and stuff. They gave us the option of a private driver which is probably going to be better since we don’t know the area at all.

My dads friend has a summer home there so we might just be staying there

There is a Caribbean side With turquoise waters and a regular side that just has the typical dark blue waters.

So you should pick which area you would like.

I’ve been to San Jose and then moved over to the beach area.

It was near a town called Jaco. The resort town was called Los Suenous. Jaco is like a hipster beach town. Dark, almost black, sand beaches and waters, everyone walking around in bathing suits.

Just bring lots of money. I remember it wasn’t a cheap place to visit. Food ranged from $ 10-25 for just a basic meal. I’m used to traveling places where you could get good food for $ 3-5, so I was pretty shocked that rice and bean dishes were so expensive.

The country looks similar to America, which I was also shocked by. I thought it would be more third world looking but they have a really great economy and the people are gorgeous. I’ve never seen a country with so many beautiful people. Like 1 out of 4 people had green eyes.

I should’ve found a husband there!

Costa Rica is the most ecologically diverse place on the planet with 5% of the world's plant and animal species so going to the National Parks is a must. I'd stay in either Tamarindo or Jaco as the Pacific side is nicer and both places are centrally located enough to get to other places such as Manuel Antonio National Park. Costa Rica is part of the Ring of Fire so I would check out a volcano and some cloud forests. Mt. Arenal is the best one and they have day trips there. The road infrastructure isn't that great so a driver from San Jose to the Pacific Coast is $ 100. Once you get to the beach towns, cabs are super cheap . Eat at 'Sodas' if you can. They're traditional, cheap (around $ 6 for a meal), and showcase Costa Rican cuisine. Surfing lessons, horseback rides on the beach are other ideas. Fishing trips are expensive though. The nightlife in the beach towns is pretty good. Random note: If anyone in your crew needs dental work, it's a fraction of the price it is in the U.S. and better quality I've found. I've got more suggestions on specific places if you need them.
