Looks like Senator Flake (R) is asking Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to allow the FBI to investigate for one week.. as they should.
A simply waiver by Dr. Ford and her therapist can give full detail to the FBI regarding her visits in 2012 where she discusses this in couples counseling.

That being said, we still live in the United States and you're still innocent until proven guilty. If accusations like this are made, the only proper course is to halt proceedings and investigate. If the accusations are credible, withdraw the nomination and refer to authorities appropriately. If the accusations are not credible, move on. The current dog and pony show format they have going on is ridiculous. If HER allegations are true, justice will never be served. Likewise if HE is innocent, a man has been destroyed.

I believe Dr. Ford. She gave clear and detailed information of the sexual assault. She answered every question from the Senators and wondered if she was "helpful enough". Kavanaugh didn't answer all the questions from the Senators and was evasive. I'm pretty sure that Kavanaugh did some sexual exploits in his youth and like Rabbit said, he has some sexual skeletons in his closet from his frat days. There needs to be an investigation.
A key piece of evidence is Kavanaugh's calendar that showed 2 people at a party that Ford named.

That doesn't impact the fact that the Republican party attempted to smear Obamas name, while he was in office.

'My two cents on Dr. Ford and Judge Kavanaugh.
I watched both versions of testimony. I don't doubt Dr. Ford had something happen to her. I also don't doubt Judge K saying he didn't do it. So what do you do when you have two people giving perfectly credible versions of the truth?
You go to the evidence.
Dr. Ford, did not present any hard or circumstantial evidence to back up her claim. She only has her recollection. She named other people as witnesses and those witnesses do not support or corroborate her version of the truth.
Judge K presented his calendar of 4 months in 1982 that he purported was his "diary" of sorts. The calendar DOES show that he was elsewhere at the time of Dr. Ford's approximate recollection. The witnesses mentioned by Dr. Ford have all sworn that they do not recollect such a party or attack fitting her description.
Both individuals have presented character witnesses or statements from such witnesses.
Based on the evidence provided, a fair minded person can reasonably conclude that Judge K did not do what he has been accused of doing by Dr. Ford. That is a reasonable conclusion based on the available facts.
Now, my opinion.
It seems to me that all of the focus is on Judge K's purported drinking habits. I didn't see much of that directed at Dr. Ford. She admitted that she was a drinking as a 15 year old. The plausibility of getting her facts wrong concerning the things she suffered IS directly affected by the amount of alcohol she consumed. That isn't hyperbole. The fact that she:
1. Does not remember the house.
2. Does not remember how she got there or how she got home.
3. Does not remember exactly when.
4. Does not know what time she got there or when she left.
5. Does not remember the exact number of people who were there....
...Is more of a burgeoning indictment of her state of mind after drinking as a 15 year old.
Something believably happened to her. But in this case, I also totally believe she fingered the wrong guy.
And Judge K's 1982 calendar evidence helps prove it for me.
If this were a court of law, based on the evidence, Judge K would be exonerated. His alibi and the testimony of the witnesses named by Dr. Ford would be more than enough.
Now, what the hell were Senate Democrats doing there today? Playing to those Americans who don't know that Sen. Feinstein already referred the matter to the FBI. Grandstanding and repeatedly calling for a delay for an FBI investigation into the allegations is something that will never happen. That is a local police matter and since Dr. Ford did not go to the police, they are not investigating. Folks, don't be hoodwinked. This is not about the truth. If someone says you were at a party and you produce evidence that says you were elsewhere, that is the end of the story.
Obviously, not for Democrats interested in only stopping a nominee to the court.
I guarantee you none of them knew dude kept his "diary calendar" from 1982. It is a doggone shame that both Judge K and Dr. Ford were used as political pawns to fight a proxy war between Senate Democrats and President Trump.
This was not about helping a sexual assault survivor. It was about using that survivor to sink a nominee. Senate Democrats are totally to blame for this one.'

Yet while giving such great advice, none were willing to be character witnesses. Meanwhile, Judge Kavanaugh had hundreds of character witnesses step up in a matter of days.
My lawyers, out of the kindness of their hearts, are helping me for FREE yet I have a “needed” gofundme page that currently is sitting at (considerably more than) $ 473,622. My 2 cents. I worked in a domestic violence shelter for about 6 months. A little fortress secretly hidden away in a city. Interesting experience. I believe her. I've seen enough of it. If you have something - an event - that drastically alters the course of your life you will live and relive this in your mind and feelings over and over again. This is common amongst abuse victims. She, Ford, made a drastic change internally after this event. Her life's path changed so much that she became a Psychologist. And you say she is mistaking this guy for someone else - absurd. This is the pivotal point in her. She remembers.
