To me, DXP is a very small part of my life and it's definitely not all there is to it.

I can hand puppies and sandwiches like no tomorrow. They still don't care about me, the evil beasts,
I don't think its real life, but individuals do come here in the hopes of solving real life problems. Such as relationship issues or family issues. Also social media can be used to highlight different issues that effect the communities or the world we live in. And bring new and different issues to the attention of other users that they've previously never researched. Also some may come here for artistic reasons such as poetry or music. Dxp gives them the ability to share their gifts and talents with the world. So while the petty drama on dxp is irrelevent, some of the issues or reasons why individuals post here is extremely real. I guess it all depends the way you choose to use the opportunity presented to you.

To think DXP is real is a fallacy.
It's as real as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Tumblr...it's all fake.
Half the people on here have fake AVIs with fake stories to match. People find the best picture , with the best angle and post only what they want you to see. That's not real life. In real life you see that my pants fit tighter than they did 3 months ago.
We let people close down their accounts and never ask about them again. We don't know if they are alright or not. That's not real life. In real life you would call them or go over their house.
This is the land of make believe from Mr. Rogers. You can be whatever you want here. You can lie and make up stories about your life experiences. When people question or doubt you , simply google the truth and type it here. You cannot do that in real life for very long.
You cannot block people in real life. You can tune them out or chose to not be in the same space as them which you could also do here. If only I could block some of the people I work with. Hallelujah.
If anyone here thinks this is real life then .....they have no REAL life, IMO.

TV, movies and video games are not real yet we spend enormous amounts of our "real" time watching or playing them.

I agree on that. But at the same time how can you call anything on the internet reality when people can deceive and pretend to be something or someone they are not?
Reality isn't necessarily truthful. Reality just is. If I'm not the person I claim to be, then that's the reality I'm projecting which is part of reality itself.

Nope. Reality is real simply because the root word says so. If you are not the perosn you claim to be then you are not real you are fake. The two concepts are mutually exclusive. You can't have fake-real breasts for example.
If reality just is then you can't project it one way or another. In the real world when you pretend to be someone or something you are not several things can happen;
1. You are medicated and admitted to a place
2. You are prosecuted for Impersonation
3. You are fired when your skills don't match you resume
4. You girlfriend/boyfriend dumps you when they discover who you really are.
In DXP world no one bats an eye..well some people call people out but then we move on to a new thread.
