NALA i agree with all your points. It's funny that you hold yourself in this esteem as do I, yet you are friends with entities who i think are extremely Fake and surreal...

CC I don't spend enough time on here to know who is fake or who is not. However, why would I be surprised if they are fake. DXP is fake.

Many peole don't like you but I happen to think you are pretty cool. I know you don't like Montgomery and she doesn't like you but I like both of you. I know people who don't like Scorched or LIB or Elle or Seraph. I don't have any blocked people or people with whom I cannot respectfully disagree with.

It's just not that serious to me. However, I have a very busy and crazy Real Life so maybe that's why. I notice when I don't have anything going on, I spend more time on here.

I am amazed when people say things like that is your Merc in such and such or your Aries Moon. I think how do you all know so much much about each other.

People will project onto any chart.

I try not to see what I want to see, it's hard but it's worth seeing the real person rather than what you want them to be.

I struggle with this every day as I grow into my cap descendant. In the end can't we just have real life nuts and bolts wedlock on weekdays and a little roleplay on weekends?

Hmmmmmmm, I think there's room for that.

+1 to that, if I didn't I guarantee that many of my relations with people on here would be largely (and mind you unnecessarily) antagonistic.

Hah, yea, I think the majority of fights have to do with projection.

I know I'm guilty of it as well.

People often use charts to see someone when they could just ask someone or get to know them. It's a crutch. That's why there is a fine line.

It's better to read anonymous charts tbh.

What's sad is the people who live, shit, eat and sleep by charts. It's absolutely ridiculous.

I see people fighting on here and cannot help to think they'd get along well in real life, would go out for some beers and shit.

Or they'd kill each other.

I don't know, it may be my twisted humor but people put way too much stock in their interactions on the boards.

lol, maybe we can liken dxp or any other social website to a hammer. A hammer is an inanimate object, it is only through the person using it does it serve a purpose. A hammer could be used to bludgeon somebody to death or build the homeless a home. It is only through different posters personalities and thoughts on social media, that gives life to such sites. With the advent of the internet, people from all walks of life and different countries, are we able to learn about each others differences and similarities. At the end of the day we might be divided by country lines or cultural differences, yet through online inteactions across the globe. We come to the realization our similarities far outweigh our differences. We come to know we all have families and friends, and similar issues to others in other countries. It ultimately gives a voice to the common individual, and the ability for them to converse with others across the world.

DXP is not real life.
Although I can think of a couple of people here that would go through withdrawal symptoms if DXP were down for any length of time...

dxp was down for a few weeks last year at some point. no one died.

We don't know how many individuals were killed by dxp posters though, because they couldn't vent here. There might be a lot of buried bodies in abandoned fields throughout the world ๐Ÿ˜›.

I'm not gonna read through 28 pages but based on replies from the first few pages, you mob seem to agree.

I'm going to disagree...lol
This IS real, what else could it be?
It is just an extension of how people communicate and interact.

Just because we aren't in the same physical space (ie the same house/office/room) doesn't make it NOT real.
If your brother or sister live in a different city or country to you and you type out a message on messenger or an email and you interact via this medium, are you going to say that is not real life?
If it's not real life then what is it?

For it to be real, you need the physical aspect, the eye contact. It's not real if you've never had a meal with the other person ๐Ÿ˜‰

Sharing your thoughts with individuals you don't know or will ever meet is pointless in the end. Escapism. Chasing thoughts and trying to connect but in reality it's just a computer screen and you staring at it.

It's a form of entertainment, like TV.

Is that real?

Tiz, who's that in your avi?

It's yours truly!

... and fair enough, I understand your perspective on what makes it real or not.

Awww that's not how I pictured you, nevertheless a handsome fellow๐Ÿ™‚

Were you expecting a Paul Newman look-a-like? ๐Ÿ˜„

It's strange, I've told you this before Tiz, I always imagined him in a throwback movie like The Talented Mr. Ripley. A cross between Damon and Law. That style and poise. ๐Ÿ˜„

I'm entirely with Ixion.

This makes me curious, do you consider the (hand) written word (books, letters, cards...) non-reality because the person was not there to speak it to you or have a meal with you?

letters and cards are reality because I get them from people I know IRL.

books are fiction.

All books are fiction?

Letters from people you've never met aren't real? Like a long lost relative, for example?

Yes, all books are fiction. It's literature, imagination. Even memoirs...do I know those people IRL?

That person was connected to me somehow...I have no long lost relatives here or I hope I don't.

Some of us DO live it the way we type it. C'mon now what's the point in makin up lies to impress a couple of internet strangersโ€” Reason we use social media is to share ourselves with the world that DONT know, cuz the world DO know us is envious, jealous, offended, and even HATES us for our reality.
