Posted by DamnataYes, that would help to make the "new" etiquette obvious, so no need for the article
It would be really cool if people remembered old etiquette first. Most can't even manage that.

Well, as the 27th point says, all classics apply.

If they substituted "etiquette" and "manners" with #successmanual, #winning and #starterpackboss hashtags, it would be more mainstream.

People still bring plants as a gift to parties?? I want a baby cactus.

Posted by Ands2016What kind is it? An evergreen wouldn't lose it's leaves in winter, so I'd likely go for one of those.Posted by CopperDovemy bonsai lost all it's leaves! can't imagine anyone would want it at this time. in spring though maybe.Posted by SassyKiwiThey are nice.

Posted by rockyroadicecreamI think I'd care less how people behave in Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks. Most of the time I'm not even awake yet when I'm in there to care about surrounding humanity.
7. When you get to the front of the line at Starbucks SBUX -0.03% , donât tell the barista to wait while you wrap up your phone discussion. The barista hates you, and so does everyone behind you. They are hoping the barista spits in your latte.
This.
I've actually not even greeted tables when they sit there on their phones. I approach them when they're done. "I was giving you time to finish your call!" (aka you're a dick and I'm not even going to attempt while you inconsiderately sit here on your phone). I've had people rudely hold up their finger and insist on continuing with their phone calls. I've proceeded to ignore them until they have some decency or were ready. Even then, if I'm in the middle of something when they're ready, they're going to have to wait. sorry assholes.
Self important twats...

Posted by RamOfPeaceDear, rudely talking on your phone when it's your turn to take your order, making EVERYONE wait on you, is a total twat thing to do, regardless of where you are.Posted by rockyroadicecreamI think I'd care less how people behave in Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks. I did totally post this for that "don't break up over text/don't say that your relative died over text" point tho lolclick to expand

Posted by rockyroadicecreamBeing guilty of it is actually doing it. People are so self important that they're insanely inconsiderate toward others in the process. THAT is an ongoing problem. If you "don't care" about that so much, then you're guilty of the same thing too.click to expand

"The original etiquette manuals of Western civilization were in fact success manuals. As author Steven Pinker notes, they taught knights and nobles how to conduct themselves in the court of the kingâwhich is where we get the concepts of âcourtlyâ and âcourtesy.â
