How can you be a slow driver & dangerous at the same time?

OMG...Don't get me started. In Florida they started giving slow drivers tickets... sign sometimes have minimums.
They're called road hogs, Sunday drivers, and there's another...
Getting in the fast lane...
Refusing to obey the sign that says "slower traffic keep right."
Slow reflexes...
Causing traffic...
Not maintaining relatively consistant speed...
...all causing accidents.
FUCK Floridian drivers. That main fucking highway or whatever. They’re absolute fucking morons. The MOST I’ve ever seen people speed and lane shift without blinkers fucking EVER. It made me so mad. I wanted to get into an accident just so I could murder someone.click to expand

Because they create road rage.
If they drive in the overtake lane, they’ve slowed down traffic and other cars need to weave in and out around them to get ahead.
Keep left down here. Keep right up where you are.
Also slow drivers usually cut ppl off because they think other ppl are too fast and need to be shown.

Yes, seen them cut people off trying to "show" people.
Also, I 've seen many times slow drivers being actually distracted drivers... arguing, eating, on the phone, and texting.
Yep. I drive all day with a utility vehicle and a trailer and everyone tries to cut me off in a merge, because they think a trailer means slow. So as the merge closes I’ve got some getz almost hitting my front corner of the car because I’ve got power even though a trailer. Then the car that merge cut offs drives slow.
Then Ive got a full load on trailer and ppl cut in front of me when there’s not enough room to break. All day road rage.click to expand

Walking rules...

Walking rules...
Biking rules... cardio.
And, when I was in the height of biking (I need new bikes and ATL was hella hilly), there were drivers that were mad.
Once, in stopped traffic close to the red light, with my one year old in a baby seat, I watched an 18 wheelee driver watching me through his side mirrors. As I got close, he blew his horn in an attempt to startle me into falling with my child. We did not fall, thanks to "intuition" on the situation.
I found the key to driving in metro ATL is to not be involved. Like its actually possible to drive there and be relaxed and not all stressed out like "everybody else" I dont know whats such the rush to get stopped at the next red light or whatever other traffic will stop you or why people are so on the edge of their seat when it comes to driving but its not worth it to me. The traffic and red lights will get you regardless so why be 100 mph to zero herky and jerky when you can be smooth and moderate is at least my thing. Which took me a while to realize. So I may get somewhere 5 minutes later well worth it to be relaxed and safer. I take that attitude everywhere I go but didnt realize till I spent time in a smaller city where people were unrushed and didnt have the attitude its like huh what was I doing? But the key is to stay out of the fast lane stay right. I get that part of it let the people who wanna go that pace go on by. Im not in the crowd and like it that way personally.
This is a true example from about 2 nights ago due to going about 35 on a residential stretch instead of the 50+ others do I was able to stop just short of hitting a dog that ran into the road. So you never know but driving slower (within reason) not ridiculously slow is superiorjust from a safety standpoint. Let alone its not breaking the law. People get mad and frustrated at people doing right I guess. Stay in the slow lane so they can go on around those who know better. Because its impossible to go back like I know the better way so cant go back to the other at this point dont want to either.click to expand

You assume there's rush, you assume there's stress... based on your disposition.
Not being involved is completely contrary to all driving lessons, defensive driving especially, and can be equated to being unaware. Funny, you should say... hense the term "road hog" was coined.
Speeding in residential neighborhoods is an absolute no-no. We are mainly talking the freeway where people could be traveling to destination 100s or thousands of miles away. Children and animals are in residential neighbors and you shave no time by speeding. Everyone knows this.
Major highways and freeways is where the concern is.
Perhaps slow drivers should take the street and stay off highways.
Something may have been lost in translation I wasnt taking an adversarial stance to you in particular. In fact I only skimmed and happened to see your post about ATL which is somewhere I am familiar with driving in. This is just a general statement but I believe that yes, if your going like 40 or something (which is like the minimum speed for the freeway I think) well lower than that yep stay off the freeway. But if the speed limit is 55 and your going 55 your actually doing right. Thats the fastest that is within the law. Its just a lot of people think going 80 is somehow the way to go. Which is their business as far as I look at it. I just try to stay back enough if they have an accident I can avoid it.
But going 55, nothing is wrong with that with the caveat that I think you should stay in the slow lane thats what I do. Hence my point of people getting frustrated at people for actually doing things the right way. Which wasnt directed to you. I really only quoted you because you referenced ATL and its craziness on the road is what I was speaking on and how to navigate without going down that path. Just from my current perspective which I am happy I finally realized. I know it against the grain to a lot of people but thats fine. All someone can do is continue doing it right.click to expand
