Mine would be over the top. There would be a section for each entertainment, and bouncers guarding each area. There would be gambling, keroki, pool tables, darts, and even an expensive inn for drunk rich people to spend the night in.

I would build it across the street from a strip club just to make things interesting. I'd also pay off the local police department so they don't close it down.

All my bouncers and bar tenders will be required to carry a gun, so if things get crazy everything would be chaos.

The theme would be classy yet dangerous like an old western movie.

I think mine would be a Speakeasy type. Staff would wear the 20's attire - black shirts, white tie and fedoras for the men, flapper dresses for the women. Drinks would be served out oversized tea cups. Signature drink would be a Rum Runner or Planters Punch and drink specials called Bathtub Gin or whiskey shots. There would be a place where people could take cool pictures that look like mug shots with height lines in the background and a placcard they could hold stating the name of the bar. Once a weekend there would be a staged "raid" with staff dressed as cops play-harrassing the bartenders and "checking tables for alcohol", while they would hand out numbered "tickets" to the patrons and then a prize drawing matching a number from one of those tickets. Decor would be typical 20s decor and the Charleston would play once a night and dancing would be encourgaed, maybe even host Charleston lessons on a weeknight. Maybe have a "play" room for casino games that are legal but where people can win stuff.

I wouldn't want it to be a club, just a bar that is fun and energetic. Think Cheers with a 20's feel. Would have to keep things fresh and change things up quite often so people don't know what to expect.

Ha! I had mine all fleshed out. It was inspired by a dream. I want to call it "Dream". Raised metal grid floors, with fog below. House/techno, with staff in black/white attire. 2 stories, with the upper one having a full-service 4 star restaurant where you can hear the beat but can't see the dance floor. 2 VIP sections; one up with private elevator access and one down. 2 dance floors.with a bar in between and 2 DJ booths (for battle of the DJ's). The building would have to be in a warehouse district with a basic metal door an an alley entrance (sort of.rave-ish), and nothing to indicate that it's a club except.for the neon sign above the door, and the pounding base that you can hear in the street.

i also like restaurant bars near the ocean and/or beaches. too bad it's expensive to set up. maybe just as expensive as a savvy downtown area where lots of patrons can go to daily.

place would serve yummy seafood.

and i didnt thnk about the strip club people mentioned. geez.. i guess it would be extra costs. you'd have to hire bodyguards, and interview women who have "it". lol

Mine would be a dessert bar. It would be known for dessert drinks and cocktails (think sweet wines, Baileys, Grand Marnier) paired with signature cakes, tarts, warm pie, ice creams and sorbets. The pairings would change with the seasons.

The ambience: dimly lit with oil lamps and candles on each table. There would be patio or rooftop seating for warm months and fireplace seating for winter months. It would be open for dinner hours thru early morning.

It would be the perfect place for drinks and dessert after dinner or a movie...dates....girls night out. I'd locate it in a chic area of town with lots of foot traffic, restaurants, theaters, and concert venues as neighbors.

I think it would be such a unique place not much advertising would be needed. I'd have a website, social media (fb, ig, Twitter), yelp. I think that would be plenty as long as I have the location right.

Love this topic.

I can see that right next to a cinema or live theater, catch that after show crowd. 🙂

You know what, I walked into you club and left after like 2 mins. Really? metal grid floors and heals? the second image metal grid floors gives me, is that you have in issue with body fluids. I want my $ 20 cover back!

My bar would be a cover from something else....

Jazz music.
Live artist.
Male waiters and bartenders.
Female clientele only.

It would look something like this:

I'm sorry I can't go to your bar, I feel like I would have to act too appropriate! Like I'm at a wedding, drinking way too much cus I'm uncomfortable praying god to get me away from these fake ass people! Doing my best to be polite but fighting the urge with every drink to make underhanded insults, relieving how pretentiously gay I think they all are.

lol, grid floors come narrow enough not to lose a heel. Body fluids?? I never thought of it, but I guess that would keep the floors clean from any that might uh, fall..

Smh
