When you receive your role, just check your role there and possibly your teammates and all that.

You do realise that in order for people to play their own roles AND the game properly, they will have to read every single role, not only their own. There is no 'possibly' when it comes to understanding other roles.
So even though you say it's not necessary to read all 33 pages, you're going to end up with a hot mess of a game if people don't read all the roles.

You have to go through every single role and take out any unnecessary functions. Otherwise players are going to get confused and you're going to end up with a massive headache.

Examples of unnecessary functions? I'm not quite sure what you mean since every role has an interaction with roles that have a certain attribute.
For instance partially roleblock immune roles can always kill the roles that attempt to roleblock them. That's not confusing is it?

Just when you receive your role, go to the doc, do control + F and type in the role you receive, read it through, and done really.

Idk if I'm missing something here, but I read the rules and roles in under 20 minutes, which isn't much different than other games.I read them on my phone and all the rules and roles were double posted. I'll have to check on the computer to see if it's like that, but it wasn't really that big of of deal??♀️
So that's why its 33 pages! Silly me 😛

The mafia must kill all the townies and coven while the townies must protect themselves and kill the mafia and coven through lynching or by their own abilities.
