Imagine what Xers have to go through listening to both boomers and millennials complain. No wonder most of us are so indifferent.
Thats what happens when you coddle your kids their whole life, and give them everything they ever wanted. Even if you couldn't afford it. I don't fully blame our parents though. It started when they were kids, and just intensely progressed over time. Our parents knew the social construct of being popular and accepted in the eyes of your peers, therefore they gave us everything their parents wouldn't. We had to have the newest music, clothes, technology, and social standards to look like we fit in with everyone else. Our parents also lived through some of the most eye opening fucked up shit humans have done through being forced to watch it from an advancing media and advanced technology. God forbid if one of us grew up to be an outcast, or even worst a school shooter. Because of that they coddled us 10 times harder, and now we are all grown adults. Pretty soon everything will be in our hands. Rather then just give up all hope I recomend you just try to understand and see it for what it is
