I agree with this (bold), but not for the reason you stated.
The media, the politics surrounding race, etc have served only to further separate and draw attention to the differences, instead of having the "desired" effect of making life/opportunities equal.
Some white liberals see themselves as the Savior of the (so-called) Downtrodden, when they don't need a Savior-- they just need to be treated like everyone else.
And it seems like they expect them to be grateful or something-- but that, in itself, is racism too.

You're confusing "exposure to something" to = "You turn into what you're exposed to."
You've been exposed to drugs. Do you use drugs now?
You've been exposed to violence. Are you violent now?
You've been exposed to homosexuality. Are you homosexual now?
You've been exposed to people supporting terrorism. You do support terrorism now?
You've been exposed to rape/molestation being a common occurrence. Have you raped or molested someone or even thought of doing so?
You've been exposed to Beyonce. Does that mean you wanna bang her? Does that mean you think like her or the fans who love her? Does that mean you suddenly like/believe in her music just b/c millions of other people do or might try convincing you that you should?
If your OWN theory was true, then your answers to all of the ^^^ above questions would be YES.

There's religion, sexuality, violence, discrimination, terrorism to self and others, drugs, etc. in almost every aspect of media & society but NOT ONCE have I:
-Wanted to become Catholic or Muslim just bc the masses are (or bc I'm exposed to it)
-Wanted to sleep around, go nude & use my body to make others think I'm beautiful (just b/c millions of other women got brainwashed into doing that)
-Wanted to kill or harm someone just b/c most movies, video games, reality tv shows & politicians expose me to it

They find reasons (race being 1 of them) to cater to their insecure need for superiority b/c without being ignorant & judging other people, they don't know how else to get respect or to be considered like everybody else.
Superiority complexes are nothing but insecurity in disguise. These types of people can't ever just stand alone in their beliefs. They gotta go recruit cheerleaders to come join in on their beliefs b/c they don't have the confidence to believe in something on their own & it still be rational. What concerns me more and this might end racism altogether is there is a silent war going on with (at least in the U.S.) Corporations & the rich vs. middle class (soon to be wiped out) & the poor.
