Like someone else said, California is notorious for this. We live in a state of delusional drama queens. Everything is "amazing" and I've learned just to downplay their descriptions by 58549 percent because usually a lot of things are marginal. Good? Sure. But let me just look into it myself and see if I'd even be remotely interested first...
Like my example I mentioned above- My first time at Chipotle was less than impressive. I didn't understand what the hell the hype was. I gave it a try again a few years later and focused on getting a burrito. ...still was okay, just annoyed that I paid so much for what I got.
But then again, people here do live with a limited world view way too much. ....it scares me. Moving back here was quite the interesting experience haha.
