Terrorists are not the best and brightest. They are knuckle heads.
If only they actually were.
Indeed

They know exactly what they are doing....
Unfortunately, many of them are highly educated, employed, hardly impoverished (many were raised in well-to-do homes), and quite motivated.

islam itself spread terrorism so...

No it did not. It says in the Quran that extreme views are not tolerated and they should show respect to people of other religions. Many terrorists are muslims, but that doesn't mean that the religion itself is the source. It's people's perverted views of it that cause terrorism.
The quran has a dualistic teaching depending on how muhammad or allah felt that day.

I highly suggest reading the official biography of muhammad.

The biography is called the hadith

No those are the traditions of muhammad not his biography.

I can't bring a bottle of water into a concert but that terrorist brought in a BACKPACK?!
Exactly what I thought! We have the AT&T stadium here in town; we have METAL detectors, officers around the area, etc. So sad! 😢

šŸ¤— cyber hugs and prayers go out to the people of the UK; and about the Quran....to kill is still a sin (EVEN innocent human beings) as THEY (Quran believers) should learn, "Thou shalt not kill" 😔 But they are as DENSE as a piece of Swiss cheese that doesn't move.

This makes me so mad, I want to join the military - AGAIN, and head to the middle east with a USMC Force Recon unit. Kill some terrorists and piss on their dead skulls.
Our miliatary consistently bombs children. Our own government poisons them. We have terrorists within our own borders.
You are full of shit - and completely clueless.

Has it happened accidentally in war zones yes - but deliberately? You should move to Iran or Iraq if you believe this. Seriously. Just go

My point is this - military action is NOT and has never been the answer. If you can't see it, then YOU'RE completely clueless.

We get outraged at killing children, but we don't blink when our own government does it. And, yes, we have funded bombings of SCHOOLS and HOSPITALS. What is more, our government KNOWINGLY poisons children in our own country.

WAKE UP with your self-righteous anger.

I am waiting to hear how they explain how that person got in there with a backpack.

What's odd is, some articles are saying that Greater Manchester police "are treating this like a terrorist attack."

What does that even mean? It IS a terrorist attack. Is that code for, "We are waiting to see if the perpetrator is Arab or Muslim?"

I am at work, I work for the U.S. Army; and I cannot check out any videos as my boss won't allow this. I do watch my local news and World News Tonight. So I will keep abreast of the news when I get outta here at 3:30 today. What I DID hear was that they found a perpetrator (suspect) who was taken into custody (I give KUDOS to the UK for finding such a person so fast!!!) while the "suicide" bomber died. Y'all HAVE to understand (and I'll stand on my soap box and use a megaphone) that when ISIS says it is responsible then they ARE! The Hispanic/Mexican guy that plowed his car into the center of Times Square WAS NOT reported by ISIS to have been "their" doing. I am Hispanic when I saw the news from Times Square (New York) on World News Tonight last week I KNEW in my heart it was NOT an ISIS related tragedy! HISPANICS do NOT sign up to do the EVIL works for ISIS!!!!!! Not steering from this topic, but again, when ISIS says it is responsible for a TRAGEDY believe them! As they are HOT tempered, egoistical MEN who do NOT pat themselves in their backs for something they DIDN'T do! These are the white speck on top of chicken s*hit because they are SCUM!! 😔

He saw those kids ...looked at them ...before. That is ...not human.
I would be willing to bet that the person who blew themselves up was not the person who orchestrated this event.

It is well known that these organizations will contract with these suicide bombers to pay the families of these people....who often live under extreme impoverish conditions.

They make them believe this is the only way they will ever be able to take care of their family. Sometimes they even threaten to harm their family.

I watched a documentary a while back and the payout to the family was a whole $ 18 US Dollars....and that was apparently a lot of money.

1. We need a war on poverty.

2. People need options and aspirations of a better life.

3. We need to educate.

The people behind this....think way too highly of themselves to blow themselves up. They prey on the perils of the less fortunate.

....and here we (the US) are implementing travel bans and building walls...trying to keep people out that are most sensitive to poverty. It's just creating more volunteers.

That's WHY we need to STOP paying these SCAMMERS on dating websites and bogus IRS voicemail messages threatening to put you in jail! If they text you their number you can look up said number and they will be from a totally DIFFERENT state than what is stated on their profile. Call them up on this! They will LIE and tell you they are using a work phone....I have found MANY, MANY, many, SCAMMERS on dating websites! A**ss*holes say they are in the military/army and they SHOULD capitalize the "M" in military and "A" in Army; and they say they are located in Libia, Saudia Arabia, etc. LADIES they are NOT located! A "widow" is a FEMALE who lost her husband...a "widower" is a MALE who lost his wife!! STOP FALLING FOR THESE SCAMMERS! (IRS, too). They think I shake like a leaf and am a STUPID American! I blocked their IRS calls on my phone. Call the IRS (Google the #); as on World News Tonight they give GOOD advice to call the IRS as they do NOT leave a stupid voicemail from a man/woman that has an ACCENT!!!!! This. ^^^^

And to add to that....I really don't think this is ISIS.

Every newscast after this happened immediately jumped to "ISIS". It's like they wanted to condition us to believe it was ISIS before there was even any real evidence.

There were images of ISIS and Al Queda all over the news over and over.

I can't count how many times I heard "Muslim terrorists".

THE British-born suicide bomber whoĀ killed 22 innocent victims and maimed 59 others in aĀ sickening terror attack at Manchester Arena was a Man U fan and the son of Libyan refugees.

Salman Abedi, 22, who was born inĀ Manchester, was behind the deadly nail bomb massacre at the Ariana Grande concert that ISIS has now claimed responsibility for.

Cops revealed the identity of the attacker, who isĀ understood to be a practising Muslim,Ā after raiding his house in Fallowfield today where aĀ forensic officer was seen holding a ā€˜Know Your Chemicals’ booklet.

Cops are now probing whetherĀ Abedi, who is understood to have been known to MI5, was acting alone or as part of a larger terrorism network.

The second youngest of four children, his parents were Libyan refugees who arrived in the UK to escape the Gaddafi regime.

They are believed to have emigrated to London before moving toĀ south Manchester.

The general public was fed all night long that this was an ISIS terrorist attack before any facts were known.

Honestly, would the general public accept any other explanation at this point?

More than likely, no.

I was not aware till this afternoon to be honest. The police didn't release his name till this afternoon as far as I was aware. But yes the media does over speculate so I know what you saying

Disclosure: I'm not coming at you - I know you were just copying and pasting from a new source

but I stopped reading at he was "the son of Libyan refugees" and a "practicing Muslim"

Of course he was ?

How convenient for the US current stance on refugees and immigration

Also

God I feel bad for the normal non-radical muslims just trying to live their lives...

I saw a man praying in the airport on Friday on my way to Nashville and you should have seen the way he was balked at and whispered about

I overheard the obese rednecks sitting one row over say "uh oh don't get on the plane with the shoe bomber over there"

Again

Le sigh ?

Cops are now probing whetherĀ Abedi, who is understood to have been known to MI5, was acting alone or as part of a larger terrorism network.

The second youngest of four children, his parents were Libyan refugees who arrived in the UK to escape the Gaddafi regime.

They are believed to have emigrated to London before moving toĀ south Manchester.

Again

Le sigh ?
Because man's hearts are dead; they do NOT want God in theirs lives. I pray at work before I eat my lunch, I pray at restaurants with my family holding hands before we eat our meals, I pass by a Catholic Church while driving; I IMMEDIATELY turn off the radio, and do the sign of the cross, before I put my gear in reverse, I do the sign of the cross, I wear my crucifix necklace and earrings, I wake up in the mornings and I thank God he woke me up that morning (for the night was not promised to us), at night, I pray to God thanking him for my day (if I had a good day, trials/tribulations, handling TROLLS here at DXP, etc). Even in the Holy Bible it states that man will fall on their knees on the last day of judgement. Men will repent!!!

Good study done on whether or not Muslim nations are more prone to violence, and what the causal factors are, outside of religion here:

http://journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.1177/2053168016646392

Abstract:

In recent years, most armed conflicts have taken place in Muslim countries. Are Muslim countries more war-prone? Not necessarily, if we look at data for the whole period after World War II. But in the post-Cold War era, most wars are civil wars and Muslim countries have a disproportionate share of these. This is not mainly because conflicts among Muslims have increased, but because other conflicts have declined. Muslim countries are also overrepresented among countries with high levels of other forms of internal violence, including non-state conflict, one-sided violence, highly repressive human rights policies, and countries that practice capital punishment. They also have a higher than average participation in interstate conflicts. This is not a ā€œclash of civilizationsā€ā€”most of the victims are Muslims. We list several hypotheses, apart from religion itself, for why this pattern has emerged, including colonial history, interventions from major powers, and economic and political development. Finally, on a more optimistic note, while many Muslims are exposed to violence, four of the five countries with the largest Muslim populations do not currently experience civil war.

This is very true. As much as there are these outbreaks of radicals. Look at Christian radicals and all these weird religious groups breaking out from that. Truth is if we didn't have religion though these sorts of people would find something else to justify their "cause"

Me too. If they claimed refugee status one can only imagine what their life was like. They came here wanting the best for them and their family. I'm sure they must be devastated that despite how they thought they could move on from their past perhaps their son couldn't which makes it worse because he didn't live through the shit his parents had to

The problem is other countries should not interfere but then how can anyone turn a blind eye to what's going on. It's like a catch 22. Countries should sort out their own politics but it's hard to not want to get involved when such tyrants are doing these types of things. It makes me sad. My heart breaks for these people

Are we evil?

We go into countries and destroy them

we've killed millions for resources

we target kill people with drones

we sanction people and destroy their economies so they can't produce and sale/eat

We kill democratically elected officials because the corrupt guy works with us

We set up tools like the IMF, UN, WorldBank to help 3rd world countries stay poor and not self-reliant by strategy, so we can take their resources.

evil is perspective

to me the evilest entities and countries on earth are:

Britain

France

America

Netherlands

I think you should take a look at China right now.
