Too many to choose from lol.

Share with us and write about the most fascinating and intriguing one.

Mmm, the most "intriguing" and "fascinating" ones are probably those that I'm not willing to talk about publicly.

The notch in my left eyebrow, the scar over the bridge of my nose, and the split above my lip were all earned from fighting with my brothers while growing up. I have a semi-circular scar between the first and second metacarpals of my right hand where a nail went all the way through. There's kind a long keloid scar on my lower back that I had covered with a tattoo that's from broken glass. There are some scars around my knee and down the side of my left leg from surgeries following a motorcycle accident. Others are from various piercings, knife nicks and common life occurrences. I'm pretty much covered in scars from head to toe lol.

One is on my chest, just right between my breasts. I think I got it from a surgery (I've a dim memory of it, not very lucid one, though. I doubt whether it might have been a dream or something that really happened to me?), but when I asked my parents about the scar, they said they knew nothing of it and didn't even know its existence before I brought it up. My parents thought I was making up a story when I recounted the surgery thing... and I had my doubts that my parents were hiding something from me - like, something bad happened to me, but did not want to tell me (now I sound like I've watched too many films?), I confronted my parents about it later a few times more, but nothing new or whatsoever came out from them. I still have no idea from where and how I got it.

The other one is on the right top of my scalp. My best friend and I were arguing and she stabbed me with a cutting knife. Seriously. I didn't bleed nor did it hurt much, but I was like 'wtf? did you just stab me with a knife? you fuck?' But then I gave her a scar, too, in the past. On her right knee, not by a knife, though. We are still best friends to this day.

This is weird, so I may be going to hide this comment sooner or later.

Lets seeee....

Stab wound on left knee. Was a fighting a bitch nigga.

Bullet graze on right shoulder. Young and dumb.

Fork scar burn above top lip. I put a fork on the electric stovetop and placed it on my top lip. *Forehead palm*

Scar on my left wrist. Jumping up and down on my friends bed and broke the light fixture with my wrist. I was like 11 or 12.

Scar on my right big toe and below it. Was riding shotgun on my brothers bike and fell off when he pressed the brakes.

A few scratches everywhere from when I had a dog. His name was Dirty Kang and he was a big hyper active mother fucker with sharp talons. -_-

lol. youre a mess. did it leave an actual fork imprint?

My scars are all on the inside and each have their own inquest story...too painful to tell

Ay, we all have those, yes indeed.

Come now, you must have, at least one physical scar with a story behind it to share.

I have two in fact. One, from shoulder surgery. I dislocated it while going up for a rebound in basketball. Hidden meaning? Stop going after rebound relationships. The second, on my forearm. I got it because shortly after losing my virginity to a fellow Sag female that lived across the street, I heard my grandmother calling and I ran out the door and the knob caught me on the arm as I ran out. I didn't notice that I was bleeding until I got home. The hidden meaning? Things that aren't meant for you to do and people you aren't meant to be with will leave a mark on you that won't be noticed and felt until later on.

C/section scar on my belly where they pulled my baby out

i had a near death experience ~ the scar seems like nothing compared to what could have happened. i would have grown another head if it meant being his mum

You are one brave soul, always. It makes one proud to know we have the likes of you, amongst our ranks 🙂

how did the nail go through your hand? if you dont mind me asking...

Summer roofing job when I was 16. I was laughing at something one of the other guys on the job had said instead of paying attention while handling a nail gun. It went from a nice and orderly pop, pop, pop, to squish and oh butter.

The nail itself going through didn't hurt much because it was so fast. Because I was wearing leather gloves at the time that stopped the nail from just shooting completely through was a different matter. I ended up having to wait around for about an hour while paramedics tried to decide what to do to get my hand free from the shingles underneath. In the end it was them prying me free that really hurt. And the locals I had to get so the doctor could stitch the wound. The nail didn't hit anything though so it was pretty much just a flesh wound that healed quickly and left me with a quirky story.

Upside, my parents let me drink that night for the pain lol.

😄

I have one on my inner right arm....went thru a glass window...had to get like 15 stitches.

One on my shin...from shaving, yes shaving my legs lol. It was a brand new razor and I just wasnt paying attention.

A couple on my fingers from when I worked in a deli...those meat slicers can be a bitch..did it both while using it and cleaning it...got lucky I didnt lose a finger or two. I have another one on my finger from riding a bike and hitting a rock and flipping over the handle bars...my leo moon showed with that one...all dramatic about it..but I was also younger lol.

Then just some from random objects, fallings, animals etc

Post the Stories hidden behind your Scars (physical bodily ones).

Approximately 80 scars on both my arms varying in length, width, and depth.

Self harm.

At first they weren't deep enough to leave visible scars and as my life got more stressful my emotional outlet got stronger - deeper. Eventually it became "what's one more on my fucked up arms?" Then it turned into I don't think I'm going to survive this pain anyway so might as well not think about long-term consequences.

Big mistake.

If I ever get any significant amount of money I'm going to seriously consider laser scar removal just so I don't have to see them. I could give a fuck less what other people think but it's hard to be reminded of personal weakness every time you look down. Does wonders for your self esteem.

I have the same thing —

Scars must heal really well for me because I hardly have any? Almost all of them have disappeared over time.

I had a pretty big scar on my right leg from my boyfriend's bike - I was wearing shorts like a moron and my leg touched the exhaust pipe. It was there for a few years, but I can't see it anymore.

My last 2 remaining scars:
a small, maybe 1 inch, scar on the top of my wrist...no cool story there...mom told me not to play on the treadmill, I didn't listen, I fell and got burned.

and a tiny chicken pox scar on my chest...right above my cleavage...which you can only really see when I have a sunburn or tan.

Starlover, TheMoodyVulcan, TheLadyScorpio, and Tamara -

Thank you all for your words of kindness. I really don't have words. —

And Ninja - all the love and support in the world to you girl. I truly mean that. Stay strong. *Hugs* If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm not sure how much support a 16 year old gay boy from the boonies can provide, but I'll try my best. 🙂

It goes both ways you know. If you ever need someone to talk or to just vent to, my door is always open, and I imagine that all of these fine ladies feel the exact same way. None of us have to be alone.

None exciting on me

One on my forehead from running into a cast iron radiator with a paper bag over my head around age 4
Have a small scar on the back of my hand where my father burnt me with a match because I was playing with them, probably around the same age.
One on my knee from failing to navigate the bike jump correctly around age 10
A couple of years back I had a cooking mishap and ended up with 2nd degree burns on my wrist from butter (butter creates nasty, nasty burns!)
Oh, and one from my Polio vaccination

Well you're obviously mentally unstable if you decide that the best option for whatever issues your dealing with is to cut yourself..

And for some it actually maintains mental stability. It may not be the best option, but sometimes its the only option.

I don't think anythings obvious unless you have been in that position.

So if i say i like to run head 1st into brick walls sometimes because it makes me feel better, you wouldn't think i'd need to be placed in a psych ward?

Damen, some people may perceive peoples' rantings on her as some form of psychosis

Even you at times, seem a little looney, well at least very angry anyway, that can be the start of mental problems for (some) people

🙂

i've never became angry at anyone on here, but even still, anger is a natural emotion..cutting yourself because you didn't pass a tezt or because you got yelled at or whatever the hell they cut themselves over is a disorder that needs professional fixing

I obviously did it. Some people have a self destructive personality. Doesn't make us bad people, just means we've got a lotta work to do.

Yes, I understand. I'm with you.
I'm not sure it's self destructive. I've never actually tried to think it all through before. The result is self destructive. The motive is to feel.

I think it mutates as you get older. As a teen, i had no voice. It was a way to channel everything that was going on at the time.

As an adult, it was an emptiness that i tried to fill with as much alcohol and sex as i could manage.

As an otherwise rational person, it's easy to see how futile that behavior is. Doing something about it is often easier said than done. Old habits die hard and people like us tend to gravitate toward enablers. Finding a healthier outlet is a must.

Yes of course Damen, it warrants prof. help indeed. Am sure though it runs a lot deeper than someone being shouted at or failing a test 😄. It probably needs deep psycho therapy to find out the root cause

Cutting is almost always merely a symptom of a much larger root issue.

Counseling is a powerful and beautiful vehicle to resolving such issues. I think everyone can use some counseling.
