thinking on this.....war is a "SYMBOLIC" image....the bombing is a symbolism. and conquering.like placing a brand on an animal's skin, "this is mine! territory" and i'll eat the cattle when and where I want.

because symbolisms have nothing to do with feelings and thinking of human lives.

And everything to do with Power.

It requires no translation-- its understood

universally.

The thought of innocent people being poisoned is sickening. The thought of them being bombed is sickening.

Yeah basically reading off a newspaper article that could have been manipulated, its not a trustworthy source. Newspapers are making trump appear in a good light, but we dont know if thats what really happened or if those were the intentions

We don't know anything

We never have. For decades, the government and media have been manipulating the people. We can only speculate on the motives.

It was a military air base not an aspirin factory (oops! ), no civilians killed. If we wanted to bomb the shit out of Syria, we would have.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/04/07/donald-trump-launches-us-air-strikes-against-assad-regime-syria/ "US missile strikes on a Syrian air base have reportedly killed nine civilians - including four children - as Donald Trump launched the first direct American attack on Bashar Assad's regime."

Your statement is slightly arrogant, you think you are better for having a bigger militar capacity?

If governments wanted the end of terrorism they would just stop financiating terrorists instead of banning refugees and bombing their countries. Just saying

America would love any excuse to bomb Syria into 1325.

Like they did iraq ands Libya

What gets me is how Republicans who are always complaining about the budget allowing this. Talk about hypocrites
Some republicans denounced it and some democrats praised the action. I don't trust any of them. There are always ulterior motives and backdoor deals. As soon as Chuck Schumer came out in support of it, I got suspicious. Mr Sketchy Schumer is the king of bullshit.

What I'm critizising is the hypocrisy behind these military attacks. The US (and Europe etc.) dgaf about Syrians, but still pretend they do.

I am not aware of every political issue, but I think there are more Syrian refugees in Jordan than in the US. If Jordan bans refugees is for the same reason every country does, to protect themselves from possible terrorist attacks, interests etc.

Is this more selfish than what the US does, why? Jordan is a neighbor country, yes, but the US has a lot more capacity to fight back.

Assuming things are as reported (the chemical attack was done by Assad and not a false flag), I can accept this action.

Both Syria and Russia were warned, the strike was a military target from which the chemical munitions were deliverd (Assad has gassed his own people in the past), and the strike was not to "take out" Assad but send a message.

As long as things don't progress into the US being embroiled in another countries civil war (all the bad actors in the US would love to do this ala "take out Assad"), I'm ok with what happened.

ISIS is an Obama/Clinton creation that was being used as a tool to take out Assad for whatever purpose. But that's a whole other topic that no one has wanted to talk about.

I'm not saying anything about being for, or against going into Syria. I fear for the people from their own government and ours. I feel for anyone living in a war torn country. I'm simply saying that what Syria is experiencing on all levels, beyond political agenda is disgusting. They are in my thoughts. I'm sick of killing people, for killing people. I'm sick of society and human savagery.
Its a freakin false flag....and Bibi uses chemical weapons on Gaza, so none of it even makes sense. It's just evil. And evil will always prevail.

Once again, because I feel like people do not listen to what my intent was. Dropping 50 Tomahawk missles on anything is pretty much bombing something the fuck up. I didn't say anyone was dead.

My post was not about the politics of it, but my heart feeling for the people of Syria, and how my first world problems are nothing compared to what is going on with the people of Syria, and other war torn countries.

I don't give a fuck about Trump or Putin or any other assholes, or the politics. My point was humans are savage AF, and the innocent people affected by this are in my thoughts. It puts shit in perspective.

I think it's kind of disrespectful to talk about it so casualIy like innocent lives are been taken away.. to take away the problem, they need to target the real issue and the armed, not the harmless civilians who have done nothing wrong.. should be a meaning behind this, either a political/economic gain
How come America won't take refugees from places they have bombed. Hmmmmmm. They won't take Syrian refugees but they're okay with engaging in war

Syria problem was started by Hillary and Susan rice like they started in Libya, but Obama had to take a step back, but those rebels were funded by the state department, weapons are american

This all goes back to bad american policy.

Just read staff were warned n nothing really damaged

Equipment was damaged yet the landing strip still able to service

Political theater

Plus if russians weren't forewarned they would have shot down missiles but didn't happen
Just putting this out there

Media and dems demand investigation into Putin ties to Trump campaign

Then a big public air strike on Syria that "outrages" Russia

Publicly they are not in cahoots anymore.

I don't hide the fact that I voted for Trump but I'm not a blind follower of anyone nor do I trust any politician.

This is an interesting article.

It doesn't say anything for Syria, and the data on internet are so messy regarding that, that it's hard to get to the truth.

But this article nicely explains the system.

You know...

Syria could have easily turned around and used those illegal chemical torture bombs in the west, and you guys would be singing a different tune.

I don't even care for Trump or politics. It's like religion to me. Everyone gets narrow minded and preachy without looking at the bigger picture.

See this is my fear. Even if the air strike was justified (imo it wasn't but for argument sake...). The fallout whether it happens now or years from now, isn't gonna be pretty. Aggression will always follow aggression.

Give it another 10 years. The young people growing up with memories of the west killing their friends and family. We're gonna have Syrian suicide bombers blowing up our trains and planes and schools.

Syrian bombers, for attacking the base that blew their family up? That doesn't make sense.

Now if we directly bomb their townsfolk. Ok, understandable.

BREAKING.....this could get serious - or it could be a head fake by Putin.

A Russian warship entered the eastern Mediterranean Friday and was heading toward the area where two U.S. Navy destroyers launched missile strikes into Syria, Fox News has learned.

The Russian frigate, Admiral Grigorovich RFS-494, crossed through the Bosphorus Strait “a few hours ago” from the Black Sea, according to a U.S. defense official.

The Russian warship is now in the eastern Mediterranean steaming in the direction of the U.S. warships.

The Admiral Grigorovich is armed with advanced Kalibr cruise missiles.

Also Friday, one of the American destroyers that launched the missiles into Syria started heading to an undisclosed location to rearm.

The U.S. struck a Syrian airbase in retaliation for this week's gruesome chemical weapons attack against civilians, including infants and small children, military officials said.

The frigate was bound for the Syrian port of Tartus on a routine voyage, the Russian news agency TASS reported Friday, citing a military-diplomatic source.

"The Russian ship armed with cruise missiles Kalibr will visit the logistics base in Tartus, Syria," the source said, according to TASS.

The ship was currently near the Blact Sea straits, Tass reported. The ship left on a voyage after stopping at Novorossiisk for supplies and taking part in a joint exercise with Turkish ships in the Black Sea.

this was news yesterday?

that video sent me to tears above. that was really graphic and awful...

this guy seems to make a joke of it...and goes back to the mistakes of what the US did...

and I notice the youtube commenters were easy on him calling him very young and immature...

quote

Bombasticbuster6 hours ago

Paul, with all due respect you are still young. Yes, smart, creative , informed, but still young. Life sometimes doesnt give many choices and I think that Trump had no choice. He would have been condemned had he done nothing. So, when do we reverse the bs that Obama started? Not war, but at least some stability in the region. I think time will tell that this was the proper action. Still a big fan, keep up the good work.
