I block people because I get sick of seeing their dumb bitch posts. That, and I don't want the temptation into getting into it with them. So the whole "hur just don't read their posts," logic doesn't really work. Also, with some, not only do I not want to see their cro magnon postings, but I don't want them to have the ability to contact me. There ARE some seriously mentally unstable people here.

However, like TOC said, it can get annoying when posts are missing or you can't see the first post because that person is blocked. Depending on the individual, I either unblock them, or open the link in another browser because I'm curious what's said in the OP.

I blocked elle because her stupid ass knows no privacy or boundaries and she violated my private/locked from the public Facebook. I blocked and reported her there, and blocked and reported her here because of it. I'm pretty sure she has me blocked. I found it interesting that I couldn't make a post in a thread she'd started the other day. Does blocking one mean they can't post in a thread that you start now too?

Watercup knows I blocked her. Her idiotic responses were ridiculous and melting my brain.

I used to have Spica blocked (especially under my old name) because she harassed me too much. She's been more sane and civil, so I haven't had her blocked. Gold star!

TOC was blocked for a few, but when she posted that thread in the health section and I wanted to answer, I unblocked her, obviously.

P-angel and Caligula/Tubby, for obvious reasons.

Don't really recall who else. Like I said, if they irritated me and I didn't want to see their tripe anymore, I blocked them. It's my way of dealing with the Aries temper. Figuratively walking away. *shrugs*

nah, thats a clear case of instability..anytime a person can get that emotionally invested into messageboard words from strangers, then you have issues..its abnormal & you may in fact need jesus

I haven't blocked anyone, and have zero interest in blocking them.

I have the light of the truth and the facts on my side in ALL debates, so I have no reason to hide.

However, there are several douches on this site that pro-actively not only block me, but whine like a bunch of babies to site moderator(s) to have my account deleted altogether.

These "people" are antithetical and hostile toward decent folks here, and in terms of intellectually stimulating and honest debate....

.....they are the equivalent of something stuck to the bottom of your shoe.

A sticky, worthless nuisance, and nothing more.

It does. I had them blocked for more than a week. I'll probably end up blocking them again, but whatever.

Nobody. I blocked CC for a few hours because I was getting aggravated but then unblocked when I calmed down and remembered that I still ❤️ her even when we disagree.

Does it even take balls to anonymously admit that you blocked some anonymous people in an online forum?

had an ex want to "publicly" address me on here once although i think everyone saw how ridiculous it was. what they didn't see was the (private) emailed apology i got for it later. i don't block very easily and depending on what made me do it, i may change my mind later. i did with Pee and regretted unblocking that one. just too much negativity. don't need it.
