Have you had an aura cleansing? You would probably have to have several, with an experienced practitioner actually "amputating" the cord that ties him to you repeatedly.
These spirits are, unfortunately, much more difficult to get rid of as they are attached to a person, rather than a house or location, but it can be done. It doesn't surprise me that he comes around when you are stressed or upset. It's when he can find an "in" as you are more vulnerable. Visualization techniques during these times (i.e. surrounding yourself with white light, or encased in mirrors facing outward) could offer you some extra protection and prevent him from getting in.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of an obsessed spirit lover?
I have an incubus that's been with me since I was 9 years old and he thinks he's my husband. I just found out about him three years ago and have done releasing, banishing -- well, lots of things short of exorcism to shake him off. He left for a bit but comes back every now and then especially when I am stressed, anxious or sad probably because he feels it is his duty to keep me company and comfort me.
Now, unlike other incubi, this one has not ravaged me yet and I'm thankful for that. He's kind of old school and wants my unconditional acceptance of him before he consummates our relationship. I want him gone because he is the biggest obstacle to my having a committed relationship as he wants me all to himself and works to distance those who like me and those I like on the spiritual plane. (yeah, it sucks)
He turns up in my aura pictures too so that is kind of creepy but at least there's proof that he exists and it's not just made up mumbo jumbo of those psychically gifted/clairvoyants that have alerted me to his presence.
Anyone with experience in this?

That sounds like a phantasm/fantasy really.
Although I've had a few succubi in my time given that context.
So how does one rid themselves of succubi too please ? 🙂

Thank you Spectre, any suggestions? I'm quite partial to a bit of research, the finest of arts, trees and nature spotting, the skies at night and all who reside amongst them.

Incubus phenomenon is called "sleep paralysis". I have experienced it on and off. If you stay up too many days and/or especially if you fall asleep too fast, by meds, drugs, or you're just plain exhausted, your brain goes almost immediately into third stage R.E.M. sleep, the deepest part of a typical sleep cycle which I believe usually occurs about 2 to 3 hours after you actually fall asleep. So your mind has put your body in deep sleep mode... So, if you awaken soon after this, your body will not be in sync with your mind, and that creates the helpless feeling of being totally aware and yet unable to open your eyelids or move. I know it's a terrible feeling! Remember your mind is more powerful with the body not in control, it's out for the count when you're that tired. Remedy that helped me: when it happens DO NOT ALLOW YOURSELF TO FALL BACK ASLEEP for about 30 minutes to one hour maximum...stand up, walk about, turn on lights have a small cup of regular tea or coffee...then go back to sleep and you'll be fine. Also, if you find the fighting to awaken too scary initially, try to not fight, but relax your muscles and allow it to happen, knowing it's normal, then give a good fight again, nothing bad is happening...it's just your mind vs your body, and you are in total control! Hope this helps.

Posted by junemoonchild69Lol I don't believe in incubus and all that mumbo jumbo but I'm certain it's a different experience than sleep paralysis. One can easily cause sleep paralysis on themselves.
