I am a white woman who works within a predominately African-American and Hispanic community as an Educator. In numerous comments recieved .. just wondering why I get so many comments regarding how "awesome" my brows look, my dress (outfit), my hair, and on my choice of shoes. I appreciate the positives ... but why is there such preoccupation with these? Wondering ......?
I'm confused. What role does race play?
Maybe because you put in effort in those areas and they notice it? You don't like compliments?
