Meh.
The fact he's a "Marine" who has his feelings "victimized" by asshole teenagers Is enough punishment tbh.
Yeah native people should never feel threatened or victimized by white people especially if they're wearing nice red hats who at base purpose is meant to antagonize. Fuck off.
Hat is freedom of speech.

I don’t recall any story of anyone saying these kids did any sort of tormenting. It’s the stupid red hat.
That kid should have slapped the shit out that man for irritating the hell out of him with that drum. That man walked at least 100ft to those kids. He should be ashamed of himself and everyone should be shaming him too.
What kind of man approaches kids like that anyway

That's not what I said or implied at all.
My comment was in regards to the media portraying Nathan Phillips as being "victimized".
He's a former marine. Marines don't feel "victimized" and I doubt he would claim to be either.
He's also no stranger to protesting and knew exactly what he was doing in that situation, including how to get a reaction from those asshole kids. He laid bare the true colors of those kids and you won't find me defending their actions. I would however be critical of the necessity of the actions of Nathan Phillips in the sense he knew what he was doing could provoke an escalation in a conflict he wasn't a part of.
I'm also critical of how the media jumped the gun on spreading the video without fact checking first. Not that it's in any way an excuse for the actions of the kids, as some are implying or that it really changed the outcome of the situation. They used it as a chance to get a rise out of people instead of waiting, gathering the facts, and reporting everything at once. This time the media more or less got it right but that was luck. Next time, they may not be so lucky.
And don't get me started on the cacophony of ADULT Liberal Twitter users calling for violence or harassment of these kids. That's Trumpian shit. They jumped right into the pen with the pig and wallowed in the same shitty mud.

Well I do try to avoid mainstream news as much as possible. I did hear that despite his drumming he did feel somewhat internally threatened. Which is fair especially if you're Native. There's a viralish vid of an officer hitting a Native on tribal lands with his vehicle. That's not uncommon behavior.
I will apologize for my misunderstanding in your implications or lack thereof. It's just, as bad as the media was in this case, lack of fact checking, is the reaction of a lot of people.
Those kids don't deserve death threats or being doxxed. But they are not guiltless and they certainly aren't "heroes". What they deserve are parents that should've raised them better.
Also to your last statement, remember even if they call themselves liberal they don't represent the majority of liberals. I believe you already know this, but I'm stating it for anyone else reading.
And like I said before, we shouldn't let this become our focus.

I hope this shit is televised.
Even more:
"The threat was emailed and used the same deadline. It said, “I am coming to bomb your office. Get ready. 48 hours. Be ready.”
Barnes told The Gateway Pundit that the threat “shows how dangerous the establishment press can be when it excites madness with libelous lies.”
Barnes added that “if the goal was to deter me in helping these families, it had the opposite effect.”"
I don't believe some think this is serious, hope it just goes away, or think that the status quo is going to stay. They remind me of the townies from that scene in that old Harrison Ford movie "Witness".
Some media organizations have been apologizing. It would have mattered more if that had been done before libel/slander suits were being pursued.
Anyway, that threat against the lawyer is going to be taken seriously, if you paid attention to the DA from the county and the Kentucky governor.
Then there's this:
So not only does the bishop and school jump on the kids in the first 24 hours, now they want to shut them up.
I think Covington Catholic school may have to close in the future due to dropping enrollment. One is a fool if you think this is going unnoticed or blandly being acquiesced to (well, not just this, but the whole shit show).

They both publish with a left leaning angle, but you're here arguing that you're getting some unbiased information out of it lol.
Their sources can check out 100% , but because there's an angle only select sources and views are presented.

No I never argued that, even back to the original conversation. I said regardless of bias if they report accurately, they can be given credit. Most everyone has a bias, but are you checking facts and sources? If you get things wrong in early reporting, do you accept blame, and edit your reporting? These are the questions we need to ask when talking about a news source.

This isn't about "getting it wrong in early reporting"....that's just a copout, rather it's more about the media exploiting everything they can against Mr.Trump to the point of willful misrepresenting hoping the shock effect content will stick on ppl with the attention span of a short youtube clip.
Which will then be parroted on social media spreading the LOLclaim that Mr.Phillips didn't know into what he was walking in, how it's gonna look on camera and to what purpose it will be used..... by people who get their info from "cool" sources and think they have it all figured out.
He should be expelled.
Who?
The indian man. Stolen valor is unlawful.
And? Never said they couldn't wear it. But when you wear it knowing it is threatening to some people and then you start shit, don't go around playing innocent.
Standing is start shit?
Hmm when you wear that hat make racist, threatening and obsene comments and gestures I'd say yeah. Ofc even w/o the hat it would still be starting shit.
I just don't know why people are still talking about this story so much. It's problematic but it is also a distraction.
Lol you're so ignorant.
Maybe you should look at actual sources. There's plenty of video, in context, that shows these kids were far from innocent.
Also it's a peace-drum, Sherlock. If you knew anything but you're own bigotry you would notice that the Native man was trying to quell any fighting and instill peace. Freaking white people, I swear.
So, high and mighty, what would you have done?
That fucking drum was nothing but irritating and chanting in someone’s face isn’t exactly peaceful
I would have been participating in the pipeline March so it's irrelevant. Also I would of recognized it as a peace drum...
But even if I didn't specifically understand the drums purpose, like most sensible people if someone came up to be with a musical instrument I wouldn't automatically find it offensive.
Why don't you try broadening your perspective beyond just yourself.
Lol. I’m not even in your face and you’re getting pissy.
Give that boy a fucking peace medal
You were the one going off advocating for a teen to physical assault an elderly vet who was trying to stop any fighting.
You're an asshole. You prove it everytime you post, I'm just highlighting it lol
I’m not the one who’s doing the name calling and slinging insults. Check yo self.

It’s funny you said that.....

Yet, here you are all acting the same
Yup cause I'm totally the one saying that the older Native man and teen should start beating each other lol
Oh wait that was you

Yes.
I quoted Chomsky earlier, but what do the non-Americans know?
idk but I'll tell you what i see.....two confronting groups having a bit of a shout and a stare off and an old man that decided to make his way towards the christian church kids because "he wanted to defuse the situation" but really knowing that any action against people wearing MAGA hats by a minority is to be unquestionable and the "right thing to do".
He knew that's where the scandal would come from if the kids wouldn't automatically back down which they didn't, so for him to pretend to be a victim is lol worthy...
This particular non American also knows the old man lied about his Vietnam story. And this particular non American also wonders why are we talking about white kids only instead of the blacks shouting derogatory terms that were on the scene too.
But i guess it's because Americans get balanced news coverage.

Update.
Good. It's time to put the smackdown on these people:
https://nypost.com/2019/01/25/maga-teens-family-hires-high-profile-libel-attorney/
"Wood also represented the family of Richard Jewell — who was wrongly accused after the 1996 Olympic park bombing — in a libel case against the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer."
A before and after tale......
Before:
(Libel attorney is hired)
After:
F...ing weasel.
Nothing trumps the word of a minority with the press
Another update:
"Lin Wood says while his immediate goal is to get justice for his client, his other aim is to put the media on notice that they will not get away with maliciously lying about people."
