Eh. I think it's pretty weird to tell someone to move on and then days later look at their stuff almost every day since telling them to move on.

Just because you break up with someone and tell them to move on doesn't mean you aren't suddenly not curious about what they are doing, especially if that information is right there on your feed.
Perhaps it depends on the reasons he is looking. He might still have feelings he hasn't sorted out, which is common in break ups.

I don't disagree with still being curious after a breakup, BUT it's a whole different ball game to tell someone to move on (implying that you have moved on) and looking almost DAILY. Looking that often is beyond curiosity. You just told someone to move on aka I don't care enough to keep you in my life but I care enough to see what you're up to almost daily? To me, that's more than curiosity.

No its not weird at all..what i do think is weird is her saying ONE THING and that ending if FOREVER. Wtf couldve been that bad?

It's normal to be curious. However, it doesn't do you any good. If you carry on looking every day, especially a few seconds after she posted something, and/or at late hours, you come across as obsessed, stalkerish, passive aggressive and hypocritical (since you told her to move on, but you didn't do the same).
You should learn self control. SELFCONTROL!!!! This is actually one of the main features that women are looking for in a mate or even friend. It shows strength of character. You are failing at it pathetically. So stop!

Didn’t respond right away and changed the subject. I think we are both guilty of keeping each other on the hook so the other doesn’t fully move on. But I don’t know why we bother. There hasn’t been any progress relationshipwise.
Its weird if you guys arent friends on IG. If you are, its not weird at all.
you are doing it because you can - because of the familiarity and attachment ... once you stop you will move on or vice versa but as long as you continue watching her stuff, the more those old feelings will stick around

So I loved my ex very much and wanted to marry her. Stuff happened and we broke up. Well, she broke up with me. She came back 6 months later. I was really torn. We discussed things for almost 2 months and in one of our discussions about us she said something that really pissed me off to the point that it made me change my mind about us. I called her later that same day and told her she needed to move on.
So is it weird that I keep looking at her Insta story a few days after telling her to move on? I’ve been looking almost every day for a little over a week now.
For those who don’t know, if you view someone’s story it tells you who has viewed it-so she knows when I look. She posted something at 1 am last night and I checked it. I stopped looking then went back and looked at the rest of her story.
So is it weird to look?
