Most of people around me answer that question with- I'm not in love with him/her, but he/she ticked some boxes. Most end up divorced waiting for the love to appear later.
if you feel love, like you can't live without them...

you'll always desire/passion feel for them till old age.

Selena Gomez went into rehabilitation for depression after her break up from Justin Bieber. The bieber for god's sake?!!!

and she was dating TheWknd for awhile, until Bieber wanted her back.

her family members HATE Bieber because he is the cause of all the heart ache and pain for her.

but she dont care. she wants some of that pisces/aqua/libra energy.

it suits her cancer/leo/aries. she can't help herself...she is drawn to him like a moth to a flame.

they might not stay together because he is....so weird... always breaking up. but we'll see..

Arranged marriages tread made me think...have anyone here been in relashionships for the reason other than love?

he chose a woman who is hated by the public, to oppose a woman who is loved by the public.

Are you implying he did that for love?

naw he was already in love with camilla....

nothing Princess Diana could do about it.

Well, not the reason for my original post actually, but since we're taking about it now... Every decision Prince Charles has ever taken, gives you the impression of a man who is very practical and probably loves himself more than anyone else.

So he loved Camilla, but he was not firm about marrying her. He was at sea for six months, when Camilla decided to marry someone else.

He also did not "oppose" Diana for the "woman hated by the public". Why do I say that? He was not the one who wanted a divorce. Had Diana not wanted out, they'd probably still have been married.

Sure he's married to Camilla now, but he waited ages to seek the approval of the Church, the Queen and the public in this regard. Quite different from the stance taken by Edward VIII, who chose to abdicate the throne for love.

Had the Church not granted its approval, I wonder whether they would be married today. So Prince Charles is actually more practical than romantic.

My mind couldn’t be further from Britain Royalty puppet theatre...

Who cares about them—

I am asking real people about real life!

And no, never heard of ‘let’s date and wait if we fall in love’...what kind of mentality is that?

Same to ‘if you marry them as if you can’t live without them - uou will feel this love forever’— What was your longest relationships? That’s a big bull! Sorry but it is...

to be very very honest, Prince Charles just doesn't have the guts to face his Queen mother and do what his Queen mother's uncle (His grandfather's brother) did, was to quit the princehood, crown and just ask for some money stipend and marry the woman he loves.

i dont think it really matters anyway. he was trying to please his queen mother.

King Edward the 8th. he didnt give a damn about the crown, but he wasn't stupid ..he asked for some money, what's due his worth and then left.

in Prince Charle's case, he was trying to please his mother. but weirdly his mother favoured Prince Andrew according to the papers.

No one in the royal family actually had a problem with Camilla. She was a suitable match for him, as she enjoyed the same hobbies as Prince Charles did. She only became a villain in the public's eye, after the scandal broke out and also due to the popularity of Diana.

I don't judge any of them really. Must not be easy living in the public glare.

um she was a divorcee which made her a "villain" and then even more villanous, because she took Charles away from Diana (which the public sees it that way)

Queen Elizabeth didnt approve of camilla at all.

i dont know why Prince Charles do anything. I told you, just from all the newspaper sayings, and the "Crown" series which is a real life re-enactment.....Prince Charles, just wasn't into it as much.

he was more into pleasing his mother. His love is more about pleasing everyone. which ultimately led to everyone's heartache.

I was talking about the time before the news of the affair spread. Camilla and Charles started dating in the early 70s. She was well liked by the royal family then, including the Queen.

Camilla subsequently married Andrew Parker Bowles, who was a godson to the Queen Mother. The couple were frequently welcomed as guests at the Buckingham Palace. That's when the affair began. I'm sure you're aware of all this.

I can't tell what the Queen's real feelings have been regarding her, but if you look at the early pictures and those taken recently, you can tell they are comfortable in each other's presence. I don't think the Queen disapproved of Camilla per se, but the shame the scandal brought to the family by their (Charles and Camilla's) irresponsible conduct.

I read a lot of books on the Royal family while growing up (not very proud of it). Lol. They definitely influenced my opinion about the entire affair.

I married for practicality. I loved him but never felt fireworks or an intense desire. He was a good man with good goals who was willing to create the same vision of life that I had.

It’s not working, because of other reasons. Had he stayed true to character the love would have grown from the respect I had for him.

What happened? He snapped out of a character?

yeah same thing. he cant stand up to his mother queen. he would rather have an affair and shame his mother and his wife, than just say, "Mum, i dont want this shit anymore!! i always wanted to marry Camilla"

but noooooo....he had to do his obligations. therefore, making everyone suffer.

well, in the end, him and camilla are married. Princess Diana is gone, the ex husband is gone,

and Queen mother won't reliquish her crown until super old age. She's like 90 years old. some step down by 70.

hey that's cool you reead the entire books on royal family. why is it a shame?? they're interesting.

but it's his nature, btw, to please everyone. it's just how it is, it will be that way for him till old age...and he's old now anyway.

We seem to have hijacked the thread, to Gemitati's consternation. 😁

Well, it's not shameful really, but spending so much money and time on people who don't know or care about you?? I mean, they are just human beings.

I knew way too much about the Royal family, to the point of embarrassment. 😅😂

yeah same thing. he cant stand up to his mother queen. he would rather have an affair and shame his mother and his wife, than just say, "Mum, i dont want this shit anymore!! i always wanted to marry Camilla"

but noooooo....he had to do his obligations. therefore, making everyone suffer.

well, in the end, him and camilla are married.

'

to be very very honest, Prince Charles just doesn't have the guts to face his Queen mother and do what his Queen mother's uncle (His grandfather's brother) did, was to quit the princehood, crown and just ask for some money stipend and marry the woman he loves.

i dont think it really matters anyway. he was trying to please his queen mother.

Thank you, Lisa! 😊

I don't follow the Royal news anymore. You probably have more knowledge than I do. But thank you so much. 🙂
