I think a lot of it is prejudice more so than the racial surface tones. I’m dating a white woman now who’s mom doesn’t like black people, but loves the ex president. She likes me because I don’t fit the general stereotype of a black guy. She even said after talking to me “oh you are a good one”. Ugh

I guess you didn't read my original post:

"They act as though their spouse is "different" often appeasing their supremist views by telling the spouse but, "you're different." Or, acting one way in the marriage but, different around their race."

At least it's not your girlfriend saying it. You're not in a relationship with her mother. But, I would be thinking about her offending my family, my future children, looking like a coon, etc. But, that's just me... roll on.
