As a single parent is it wrong to have every weekend off?

It doesn't work like that per se... unless you hire someone or have parental visitation scheduled, grandparent visit, etc.

Otherwise, the have weekend activities or, you should be scheduling them.

Also, depends on the age of the child... the scale is like enfant to 18 y.o.... hell no to hell yes.

I scheduled my time as Wednesday and Friday nights off, after I put the youngest to bed. I gave the weekends to them. My standard activities were: Friday early afternoon, nail salon and mall; Saturday morning movie matinee; Sunday morning breakfast buffet.

If they spent a weekend night with friends oh la la, lol.

That's 8 to 10 days away from your kid a month, depending on how many weeks are in the month. But as long as there is one parent around, and they are fine with you having every weekend off. It doesn't seem like a big deal.

But the real question is, who will your kids remember as always being around them and taking care of them.
