Can You Date Someone Who Doesn't Like Kissing

Yes, it is possible to have a relationship without kissing if both partners are comfortable with alternative expressions of affection. Communication about boundaries and desires is key to maintaining intimacy and connection without kissing.

Would you be able to be in a relationship with someone who doesn't like kissing or making out?

You might get an occasional peck on the cheek or body kiss but no mouth on mouth kissing.

hell no....doesn't have to be a constant thing, but for me, if either of us ultimately lose that desire to make out, I feel like the relationship is pretty much over....

What if that desire was never there for the other person?

like we're already well into the relationship and she springs that on me? would be rough...not sure how I'd react....I'd probably wonder, unless they're absolutely repulsed by it, why they felt the need to even bring it up given that they know I enjoy it....There are plenty of things that I might not enjoy doing in and of themselves, but the pleasure I get from it is based solely on that fact that I know my partner is into it....

But what if they never kissed you to begin with? Like ever. Would you have progressed the relationship?

Fuck yes.

It's almost a plus for me.

So you don't like kissing?

Yeah, I never understood the point of it. Well, maybe it's the human equivalent of a dog peeing at the fire hydrant or something, but it doesn't really serve much of a purpose. The only one I can somewhat see is to exchange bacteria as means to familiraize your own body to them to avoid a negative reaction or something, but I don't know enough of that to know if that could even although my guess would be no.

How do your partners handle it? Or do you do it to make them happy?

Currently in a relationship like that. Libra was molested as teenager and kissing is a trigger. I'll quickly peck her on the lips or the cheek but she doesn't like making out.

Was it difficult to understand at first or was she upfront about her trigger from the begining so you knew what you were getting into?

I meant it. I don't have partners. I only had one love interest and around 9 months of one night stands. I never kissed one of them.

She didn't say anything at first. She told me about the molestation first. We basically confided in each other about our past sexual abuse at the hands of family members early on. She didn't tell me about the kissing until later. Either way, we've never made out.

I love kissing but I have no problem staying with a partner who doesn't like it. We need to have some sort of compromise though. I think other aspects in the relationship are more important for me at this point in my life, kissing is not a priority. We can be intimate in other ways. I just need to know the other person loves me and it show in one form or another.

I'm a mutuable though.

I agree. I'm not huge on kissing...like I dont need to make out....I don't need to play tonsil hockey but.... I'd need a compromise. An occasional peck on the mouth maybe or more kisses on my neck or cheek or forehead. Something that is more intimate than just a hug or sex. I can get hugs and sex from anyone.

No, but I can do a fwb arrangement. I was doing that with the Virgo I was seeing because I didn’t like how he kissed.

He used to bug me that I never kissed him and I told him why. He didn’t change his style of kissing, so I just stopped kissing him. It was the weirdest style of kissing I have ever come across in my life. I don’t know how he learned it.

You're something else. Haha!

I once freaked out the Aries I dated by pontificating about why we kiss. Like, really, why do people like sucking each other's food holes? He was like "It's just part of it. I don't know. Stop being weird." lmao

I am not super into kissing either tbh

I feel there’s a time and place for it and sometimes I’m in the mood but a lot of the time I’d honestly just rather not

I really really hate wet kisses too omg 😑

My husband has much fuller lips than me and he is a kisser. Sometimes when he kisses me goodbye I actually want to cry a little because they are just so large and wet 🤣 I feel a bit accosted

It would take me a while to notice someone not liking to kiss cause I don't either.

I don't care for kissing but am very good cause I like to please. Kissing doesn't do anything for me by itself.

I don't care for rom-coms either.

I don't care for kissing or hugging adults - only children or animals.

My husband kisses me every morning before he leaves for work whether I'm sleeping or not.

Sounds like they not that into me if they don't want to kiss.

Just like how a girls says she doesn't suck dick. She just doesn't wanna suck your dick..

Anybody that really likes you would wanna devour you.

Yeah, I'm not in to kissing. I don't get anything out of it. Though, I don't care much for physical contact in general. There's only ever been one dude who I couldn't keep my hands off of and I'm thinking that was a fluke since it's never happened again. It's a mystery how I've managed to maintain long-standing relationships...
