More to life than sex

I wonder if people, here, can or will overcome their addictions to sex, drugs and alcohol and hate, and in forgiveness. And become people who wll help on another and try uplift one, another in such a way that so much pain and anguish can find healing.

I wish everyone would sincerely try. It's up to all of us.

I wish people wouldn't hurt so much.

Actually I would have to agree with firebird,

Besides my occasional drink, I'm not sexually active nor do I partake in drugs. Life really isn't that bad without those things. I'm a lot more driven to get things done and it changes you mentally/emotionally. I work hard for my family and child.. making sacrifices in the end.

Now while I've already made my first point, and comment, I'm just curious if anyone had noticed the lack of activities outside of the seemingly constant preoccupations with sex and the mating games.

There are thousands of activities to do that has absolutely nothing to do with sex.

Some people love to read, draw or paint pictures maybe try ceramics or pottery, research the subject. Some people might try leathercrafting, woodworking, metalworking, glass blowingstained glass, others might be into a musical instrument such as a piano, violin, guitar,percussion, bells, cymbals, basicay a few forms of visual and performing arts.

Some may like sports of some kind. Others may like science and or engineering, and some may like oceanography, archeology, paleontology, ecology, botany, or there may those who are interested in astronomy or geology.

Gardening is another........

There's a whole world of things to do but if people just shut themselves up in tiny little rooms of life, they can expect not find anything but their own little worlds and may discover skeletons in there with them.

I think part of many of the world's ills are it's obscene obsession with sex. If that's all people want to know then they will have to get to know the bad and ugly side of it. Sooner or later, I'm sure there's going to come a point when one has had enough of those superficial things, even the perverse and profane things. At some point, people get turned off by it.

Sex, in all its manifestations, is like littlle league baseball. It may be fun at first, but after awhile, it wears off. you outgrow it.

Where I live now, there are black Angus cattle and farm fields as far as the eye can see.

Severe thunderstorms and tornadoes.

I live in the world famous Tornado Alley in the

Indian capital of the nation.

Just a couple months ago, I lived by the Pacific ocean. . But I don't have a reason to go to California, anymore...hmmm imagine that.

Ever heard that song?

I love the way that old battered guitar, he plays, sounds.

If I were a guitar.. That would be me. I'm just about as ugly..... maybe worse.

I do have a flip side, though.
