I don't think it's about making sense after a certain point. I think it's about preference and tolerance. If neither of you mind it, I don't think it's a big deal. Now if we're talking about 25 year olds hitting up 70 year olds, that opens up something else.

And if you both are in it for the fun factor, that's a shared value like anything else.
It's not always a good idea to get too serious about a younger guy as more often than not, they will be moving on..

For what it's worth a transient relationship with someone younger would feel refreshing.
Ie. Less baggage and perhaps, a more optimistic approach to dating that I personally find appealing... Amongst other thangs

Our family didn't think it was a small gap, they were against it and were mean to them. And ours is a traditional family.
Surprisingly my aunt and her bf refused to give up on their relationship. I know for a fact my aunt was called names by other women for dating a younger guy(this happened few years ago so it was bad). Shocking because my granpa was younger to my gran by more than a year and an uncle married an older girl. But this aunt was verbally attacked. Jokes on the people who attacked her because they are happy together.
I think it has to do with their chemistry and the maturity level of the people involved.
I think in this world we need to take the best we get for now and live in the moment and make memories. Because nothing is guaranteed 😢

No nothing is guaranteed for sure, but if one is searching for a serious rship, i would be a little wary of a big age gap...there is always a different mindset when the guy is much younger....been there, done that and it took me four goes to realize it
My dilemma is, i am over 40, but am not attracted to older guys as i have great energy and enthusiasm and am very highly sexed. I don't want to be finding a dead man in my bed lol

my experience, just one, wasn't so nice, well it was fun at first, but age gap wasn't the problem. way to different.
