I was 20 and she was 42. It was a positive experience. Right now I would be more likely to go down 10 instead of up 10.

How long were you together ?

Around 18 months.

Who ended it?

It was a mutual friendly breakup. I was in the Air Force and had orders too leave for another duty station. We both knew that day would come when we met and started dating.

Oh that is good and great she didn't try to hold onto you. What sign was she?

As a female dating a younger man I'm super interested in seeing where this topic leads.

*follows thread*

And waggy, I highly recommend it ?

Any thoughts on your relationship that you are comfortable sharing- please do!

Interested in the dynamic.

How important is the sexual connection.

Is dating a younger man more or less fulfilling in terms of mental stimulation etc

In principle yes I would. It just depends on wanting the same ideals.

The biggest age gap I've had in a serious relationship was 7 years older. I was 24ish at the time. It was enjoyable because she had presence, knew herself and knew what she wanted most days.

okayeh,

I'm interested in a "funfactor' rating: out of 10 @_@

150% positive, 15 years older than me, best everything.

😆

Good to hear,

was it a learning curve ...or purely experimental.

So far so good. Actually better than good. I really really like this guy.

Sexual connection is fire. He's very aggressive and affectionate, Leo venus and Mars, and a very quick learner ?

He's mature for his age I would say, and we both are focused on the same things and our goals match up as well. Being on the same page with expectations is essential for long term success. Like if your looking to have kids and marriage ASAP and a younger guy is looking to have fun atm, then it probably won't be long lasting.

He's really intelligent in areas I'm not so we have pretty fascinating and heated discussions on whose right. It's half way serious/competitive and also just foreplay.

Idk ask me anything.

I dated a guy 8 years younger than me.

He was definitely one of the best, if not *the* best, I've dated. Still have the utmost love, respect and fond memories for him.

I can't speak for him now, but I think the feeling was mutual, even if it might not be anymore.

Really appreciate this input too.

Would you consider dating someone significantly younger again, and what do you think might be the benefits or pitfalls- with hindsight...

Yes, I would. But it'd have to be on a person by person basis.

Pitfalls would be mostly mindset I'd say. Of he was still wanting to taste the strange-bow so to speak while I wanted something more serious.

Ok, I actually went to my PC to answer this.

Anyways, after being divorced and single for about 1.5 years, I started dating again. First guy was 27, and I can tell you the pitfalls there were astronomical. I was the more financially secure one, and he had major ego issues with that. On top of that, he drank a whole lot, and loved to party. I don't drink what-so-ever. I also felt he created drama when none needed to be.

Now for the 25 year old, we just work. Like LadyNeptune stated, you have to be on the same page on a lot of things. He is mature for his age, isn't into partying, and is more home oriented. I find I have a lot in common with him when it comes to what we want in life, and where we want to go. It's probably the most easy I have ever had. He seems to be very open and communicative about any issue I have and is willing to compromise. His parents don't seem to have issue with my age either.

In both instances, they pursued me. I was leery about it at first, but it's been good.

He sounds hawt!

No harm in seeing if there's some potential there. Before you invest too many feels find out what his end game is, but in a cute way of course.

Maybe ask him where he sees himself in 5 years and see how his answer compares to your own.

On the flip side...

My mother dates much younger, I'm talking 20+ years and the guys she gets with are absolute losers in their late 30s who have shitty careers or records and don't own anything of their own. They take advantage and mooch off of her. It's pretty disgusting.

She's a really giving and caring Leo sun and can't see that she's being used.

I dated younger men... by accident. I didn't know their ages. But, once I told them my age, I thought they would leave me alone. Very electric times. One, 10 year difference, actually made it to a relationship... a Sag.

I also dated older, as much as 14 years older... which I preferred. I like being pampered.

I dated younger and older at the same time. So, I had live contrast and comparison.

very intriguing. Thanks for the cool perspective.

Personally, always thought older was preferable, (for some reason)

but honestly, it seems like a self-imposed limitation...

I had no limitations. I didn't think about dating I was just enjoying my favorite extracurricular activities... singing and dancing. Then, next thing you know.... I was newly divorced. And, I was overwhelmed most of the time.

I needed someone to watch over me... so, after all was said and done, I preferred older. Although, I had one younger man that started our relationship by taking care with me.

But, older, whew, dominanted and surprised me with decadent, luxurious, hedonism... sultry. I felt protected and secure. And, they outright offered it carte blanche.

hmmmmstarting to think age gaps in either direction over approx 10 years - might be ideal...

for different reasons.
